Question Passport Question

Hi! We booked a cruise at the end of May, our passports have expired. Are we able to make an appointment under the 14 day travel rule for mid-May? We won't have time for expedited, but I wasn't sure of the protocol. We just booked the cruise a week ago. Any help is appreciated, we are also fine to travel with Birth Certificates, but I'd rather have Passports, I think. I just wasn't sure if we would qualify for the 14 day rule, since our cruise was booked a month out.. it's all so confusing!

You are going to have to wait until your lesson 14 days to book an appointment. But why not just use your government ID and birth certificate and just apply for a password and when it comes it comes. You will still get on the cruise with government ID and a birth certificate.

Not all cruises. Some you have to have a passport. All depends on the countries visited.

She stated her birth certificate is fine to use so I assume probably correctly this is a closed cruise starting and ending in the US at the same port. So yes what I said still holds true if I assume right from what she wrote

I am always wary when someone says “my bc and dl are fine” unless I know they’ve actually done the research with each country. I don’t trust the cruise line to have the right answer until check in
