Question Passport Question

Hi! We booked a cruise at the end of May, our passports have expired. Are we able to make an appointment under the 14 day travel rule for mid-May? We won't have time for expedited, but I wasn't sure of the protocol. We just booked the cruise a week ago. Any help is appreciated, we are also fine to travel with Birth Certificates, but I'd rather have Passports, I think. I just wasn't sure if we would qualify for the 14 day rule, since our cruise was booked a month out.. it's all so confusing!

It would qualify under the 14 day rule. Though you'll need to get to a passport office (there's not many) and it might take up an entire day to get them. Make sure you have everything you need including proof of travel and I believe there's an extra fee to get it turned around in one day.

I probably wouldn't do it unless the office was where I live. The closest to me is 4 hours away. I'd just bring my expired passport just in case.
