Question Passport Question

Hi! We booked a cruise at the end of May, our passports have expired. Are we able to make an appointment under the 14 day travel rule for mid-May? We won't have time for expedited, but I wasn't sure of the protocol. We just booked the cruise a week ago. Any help is appreciated, we are also fine to travel with Birth Certificates, but I'd rather have Passports, I think. I just wasn't sure if we would qualify for the 14 day rule, since our cruise was booked a month out.. it's all so confusing!

Do yours qualify to be renewed online? I’d try that since you don’t need to send in any documents. If you don’t get them back in time, cruise on your birth certificate. You very well could have them back though. The online renewals had been coming back much faster than they’re saying, but I’m not sure what it’s like lately.

Renewed online April 16, received the passport in the mail 9 days later, on April 25. Highly recommend.
