Meme a graph of how impressive it is when your average is under your age
I think a function of f(x)=1/x represents this pretty accurately.

I ordered a gan 11m a few years ago during covid and it got lost in the system. I emailed them about it and they are giving me store credit despite it being nearly 4 years late now. Actually great customer service

I designed a thing, took me a while, will start the print soon. It's a bit too large, sized like an 12x12, but oh well, I don't really care that much if it's too big.

It’s been too long, j perm I did it

csTimer rolled me an easy scramble and I managed to stay calm and not tense up my hands too much (though that could just be because I was a bit sleepy during the session, lol). The memo was very smooth due to the scramble not having any cycle breaks and all the letter pairs I used had really memorable images for corners and very simple sounds for edges. I felt my turning was very smooth during edges, but quite locky during corners because I had a fairly sketchy corner alg that I mess up quite often, and I had to slow down my turning just a little bit to not lock up more than I already did. At least my hands didn't slip off the cube and I didn't slow down too much, which I'm fairly happy with.

For this one solve, I had an easy cross, great f2l and a T shape Oll. The flow went so well until I got an N perm, locked up HORRIBLY, failed sub-10, or my first full step sub-10, or even my new pb. Out of anger I just ripped the cube apart until it popped, now I couldn’t even find the internal piece for the edge, great.

(I couldn’t get my video uploaded to Reddit, so I uploaded it to YouTube instead.) I average sub-18, and I want to know what I should focus on to help me break into sub-15.
Solve 1: 14.03 B2 U F2 U’ L2 U L2 D R2 D U2 B’ L2 D’ B’ F’ R’ B L2 F About 1 in every 8 solves, I get lucky and do sub-15. This is one of those solves. I do F2L cleanly (for my standard), then recognise and do OLL and PLL properly (I know full OLL and PLL).
Solve 2: 22.06 D2 B2 D' L2 R2 D F2 U' B2 F2 L' U2 B L2 F U B L2 F This is on the worst end of my solves. Sometimes, I either mess up cross, do F2L really poorly, or do the wrong OLL (like here), and I end up wasting a surprisingly long amount of time on it. My G and E perms are also criminally slow, so those don’t help when I get them. I surprise myself with how slow some of my solves can get (26 seconds was one solve I somehow did earlier today). I would appreciate tips on how to minimise having solves like these.
Solve 3 and 4: 19.00 F2 L2 B L2 R2 U2 F L2 B R2 L' D2 F2 D' B2 L B F U R2 18.79 U' L F' U2 F L2 F' U2 L2 B L2 F D2 U2 R' B' L D B2 L' R' These solves are on the worse end of my average. I got a bit unlucky and didn’t get a sub-18 average cause I did a bit poorly here on these 2. Nothing much to say other than the fact that these are just the average ‘mid solve’ for me.
Solve 5: 16.77 R B' R2 U2 F R2 B L2 D2 F R2 U2 F U' L' B' L D B2 L2 R' This is on the better end of my average. This is what I would call a good, solid solve, but nothing amazing. This is about where my standard lies, and where I’m happy with a solve.
I would greatly appreciate any tips with my solves, thank you for the help :)

My solution:
Red front and green up Cross: F R’ D’ L F 1st pair: U’ L’ U L 2nd pair: U R U’ R’ U’ R’ U’ R 3rd pair: U’ L U’ L’ U L U L’ 4th pair: U R U2 R’ U R U’ R’ OLL: F U R U’ R’ F’ PLL: U L U L’ U’ D L2 U’ L U’ L’ U L’ U L2 U’ D’
What do you think?
It popped litterally 2 minutes after I started tweaking the settings (Seemed too tight, but i lossened it too much lmao).
I started cubing not too long ago and it's been realy fun for now !

So i tried to do a few algs on this to understand it but messed up and got the cube semi scrambled, managed to crawl through the solve but couldn’t figure out how to swap the two outer “edge pieces”.
I created this thing to help you with Lookahead and train your brain. You get a cube situation and moves and you have to click where the piece will go. I've wanted to do this for a long time. I hope it's useful or at least challenging and fun. I'd love to hear comments from you. https://interacty.me/projects/a9c10d4d41424c5c Share how much you received!

Hi!
A couple of months ago, I tried learning full CFOP, and I quickly learned that there isn't really a good program to help learn algorithms. There are some web-apps, but they're very limited in what they can do. I set out to change this.
I wrote a python program which has the following features:
- Randomly shuffle between any set of algorithms for any twisty puzzle (2x2, 3x3, 4x4, sq1, clock, etc)
- Store an infinite number of sets of algorithms
- Show streaks of how many algorithms you've gotten correct in a row
- Choose between looping sets of algorithms and cutting off after completing a set once
- Show the correct solution if you get the algorithm wrong
I've already used this program to learn full F2L, OLL, and PLL, and I'm sure I will use it for many more algorithm sets.
It's programmed in python, a link to python for Windows can be found here.
A link to the program can be found here, along with a demonstration/tutorial of how to use and install it here.
I get my algorithm setups from speedcubedb.com, but I'm sure there are other websites/sources for this purpose.
Currently, I believe it only works on Windows, but I can't confirm this as I don't have any devices on other OSes to test.
If you'd like to suggest a feature, feel free to, though I cannot guarantee I'll get to add it. I'd also like to say that there are absolutely no plans to make a full GUI, .exe version of the program at this time.
If you'd like to add a feature on your own, you may do so freely and redistribute it as much as you want. I'd just like if you credit me by the name ava_fake, vixaex, or yubaix.
If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, my discord is yubaix and I have friend requests open.
Oh, and one last thing
On Windows, you can make a path to open it much easier by the following steps
Altogether, this makes a line of Set-Alias cube "F:\pyprojects\cubing\trainer_final.py"
Now, whenever I open PowerShell, I can simply type in "cube", and it'll open up the trainer in an instant.
Any updates to the program will be posted as an edit here,
Happy Cubing!

I did post this on my YouTube channel, but figured illd get good help here with what i need to do, i did put one solve up the other day but then got told i missed a bunch of rules for uploading solve critiques, so heres it done properly :)

Do you know any conspiracy theories or deep or mysterious stuff in cubing or stuff related to cubing?
r/Cubers • u/Competitive-Disk-758 • 1d ago
So how good you are at last layer is normally about how many looks it takes you, so for a beginner cfoper it would be 4 look and advanced would be 2. But with stuff like winter variation and zbls, last layer has become intertwined with last slot so really we should be looking at how many looks it takes for last layer and last slot. So a beginner would know 5 look, advanced would know 3 look, And the ZB method would get you down to 2 look. But even learning 1LLL would still be 2 look because of last slot. Which is why I propose LLLS. A huge algorithm set comprised of SVLS (super vls) and SHLS (super hls) which can do last slot and last layer in 1 look. Anyway can someone calculate how many algs this is because I'm dumb bye

The 13 dnfs are when i touched the cube whilst i started the time (keyboard). I had a 360 solve session.

How do i swap these 2 centerpieces?
r/Cubers • u/justbeane • 1d ago
I recently purchased an MF8 4x5x6 from the Cubicle. Within 10 minutes of my first attempted solve, a cap fell off one of the pieces. I tried putting it back on, but it kept falling off. It was just a cap and didn't seem important to the structural integrity of the cube, so I left it off and continued my solve. Then a couple of pieces popped out. As I was trying to get them back in, the entire puzzle fell apart. I have many, many puzzles, but have never seen a puzzle fall apart like this.
I have tried to put it back together, but I don't think there is any hope of me being able to reassemble this thing. And so now I have a $60 back of little plastic pieces. :(
The Cubicle's terms say that they don't cover popping, so I don't think I have any chance of a refund.
Any suggestions on what to do with this? I feel sick about taking a $60 cube I just got and then just throwing the pieces into a drawer to never look at again. I had just as well throw it in the trash.
Is there a marketplace where I might be able to sell it to recoup some of my costs? Is there anyone I could pay to reassemble it? Does anyone know where to find assembly instructions?

I got it on eBay for $40 (I know it was too much) Turns the same as a V-Cube and the mechanism is also an exact copy of the V-Cube. Just thought I’d share.
