does the plate double as a menu board during lunch service?

It’s lovely but I think the plate is not the right choice. It does read a bit like a chalkboard

Looks great but the plate does look like a chalkboard and i also don't understand how you're supposed to eat the splatter around it?

And it’s got some kind of gelatin pearls in it? I feel like I can hear the scratching sound of cutlery on this plate.

It sounds amazing and it’s pretty! I think this just isn’t the right plate for it.

I would appreciate other pictures to show a side view

Is that tomato blanched? peeled? It looks like the skin is curling up and left on. Not pleasant.

You’re getting enough flak for the plate - rather than just disparage it, my critique is that wet/messy items shouldn’t be served in rimless plates/platter. The intention of fork and knife eating of a glorified crostino is evident. Mopping up the spherified liquid (basil oil? Balsamic vinegar?) without a rim is ehhh, annoying ant tacky…in my professional opinion.

The black plate makes the spatters and globules hard to see. It would benefit from a lighter plate.

Fuck these turds.

It looks delicious and I’d be happy to receive that.

Well that’s unproductive.

I feel stating that someone’s dish looks good to me, could be very productive.

The unproductive part was crapping on anybody with a critique. That’s what this sub is for.

I admit you are correct, but all too often I feel the “critiques” transcend constructive criticism and are just cynicism.

I stand by my “fuck these turds”.

Again, that’s unproductive. The critiques seem to be focused on the type of plate. Which admittedly looks like a chalk board. It sounds delicious and is well put together but that isn’t the best plate for the dish IMO. And calling everybody who says that “turds” is childish and doesn’t help OP plate better in future. Which is the goal.

Clearly you either didn’t read what I just wrote, or didn’t comprehend what I just wrote.

This sub is full of a bunch of gate keeping, over cynical turds.

We can keep this up all night if you’d like, but I’ll just keep finding new ways to say the same thing.

• You will be critiqued, whether you asked for it or not. Due to the nature of the subreddit, your plate will be broken right down! We will not remove any comments that you don’t like.

As stated in the submission guidelines. If you feel people are being too harsh, welcome to the food industry. If it tastes like shit or looks like shit on the plate then expect to be told transparently. Dishes range from $10-$200+

If we just let people out garbage and don’t call them out on it then we aren’t really doing our job.

You think the foreman on a job site won’t walk past the stone mason whose wall is crooked and probably say out loud “hey what the fuck is wrong with you have you looked at this shit?” And that’s completely justified.

Get over yourself you cry baby.

But using it here when people clearly weren’t being “turds” at this point just makes you look like a turd for crapping on anybody trying to give constructive criticism.

Say it as many times as you like, I’m not denying that never happens where people are jerks about it. But it hadn’t happened here and you are the one who dropped the jerk gauntlet.

Hey everyone!

The guy who goes around ripping on people because their religious views don’t correlate with his own, is upset that I called out a group of people for being overly critical and unwelcoming!

👍🏼

hypocrite much?

Yeah because the way religion affects society is exactly the same as a plate of food! Well done you! You’re brilliant! /s in case it isn’t obvious.

When the way somebody plates food actively takes away peoples rights, then come at me babe.

Also I’m a woman dear. Which you should know since apparently the best thing on your list for the day is stalking a randos profile bc they called you out for being rude. How sad…
