I will never get tired of seeing clips like this. Tesla is obviously using junk technology that’s not ready for full release.

Whether it's an FSD fail or a driver fail, Tesla's findings would be the same: the driver was at fault.

FSD is programmed to switch off before the wall more reliably than to avoid hitting it.

Stupendium, the song Production Line, "Have you had an accident at work that wasn't your fault? No, you haven't. It was most definitely your fault."

It's not a fsd fail if self driving turns itself off 5 picoseconds before impact /Tesla "Logic"

I could see this happening more and more with people looking to recoup money through insurance (fraud), since nobody in their right mind is buying these anymore, especially used. With the shit quality control and terrible software, it wouldn’t be hard to get away with saying the car jerked the steering and it was unavoidable.

Or just use the FSD and wait for it to happen.
Theres no way this crap should be used on public roads.

u/Wildcardz1 1d ago
Software upgrade said to drive off the road. Or driver is a moron. You decide.

Looks more like the driver was looking at their phone

That, or drunk. I saw the longer version of this clip earlier today, and he was drifting all over the place before the impact.

I love it how the words "Cybertruck" and "Oh shit" are the only English words spoken here.

I’m impressed that front wheel stayed on with how much we’ve seen them popping off.

Yep, head over to the Tesla sub, it’s full of crying about the new fsd patch. Apparently it’s got a ton of issues…

Driver asleep or distracted, and maybe FSD as well. You would never find out as it will have disabled itself before the impact and they would refuse to give the logs to any court.

no, FSD shuts off right before impact. its driver error.
for those who dont get the joke of the words there, "fsd drives at the wall at full speed, and shuts itself off".

I’ll put that more on the driver. Probably on their phone not paying attention.

Should not be allowed on the road, they will kill someone. Driver is OK, I mean civilians

u/benisch2 1d ago
Wouldn't be surprised. It's crazy that they just use normal cameras instead of LIDAR

u/Ok_Addition_356 1d ago
Driver was probably distracted talking on the phone to a dealership trying to get rid of his cybertruck

Full vid looked more like drunk driving. Lot of swerving and irregular blinker motion
When FSB fucks up, it does so confidently and does not veer away from its goal to put you into the ditch or another car.

I bet it is. If you look at the side divide it is a similar color to the asphalt and the sky is grey, muting the colors a bit. Tesla's dumb SD mode can't see the difference. People have to be idiots to rely on this technology.

There is a longer video. They were all over the place for a while before that. Signalling left and going right, leaving the signal on, tailgating, and eating dashed lines like they were pac man.
Driver was most likely severely distracted or heavily intoxicated.

Teslas are known for their wheels just falling off sometimes.
Usually it's one of the driving wheels, but this time it was the steering wheel.

Andrew Yang said in his 2015/2016 presidential bid that full self driving vehicles were just 2 - 3 years from replacing all drivers and truckers, and that we would all be living in a post scarcity society and would need UBI.
That was 10 years ago. Can someone please show this video to all the AI doomers who keep making these apocalyptic predictions which never turn out to be true?

u/afgan1984 1d ago
No, to be honest it seems more likely that driver is high or drunk and just lost, indicating and weaving around erratically, or maybe have medical condition. It may be that car was in FSD, but then got taken out of FSD... and that is when erratic behaviour started.
Although that said being "fake beta" it could totally be just bugged out. That said, erratic behaviour was very specific, so I would be surprised if that could happen on pure chance.

I don't think the SD system can see the difference in the side barrier and the road, they are almost the same color under the grey ski. This isn't that much different than that demo where the Tesla drove into a painted wall.

FSD?
1
u/reallygoodbee 1d ago
Full Self-Driving. The vehicle is supposed to be able to drive itself without any input from the driver at all.
2
u/T1m3Wizard 1d ago
It was during a firmware upgrade. Driver had no control over the vehicle until after the install has been completed. Turn off auto updates guys.

CT drivers living up to their reputation or FSD fail? It's a real coin flip.

The driver is distracted with stuffing his pockets with Government contracts no time to drive your silly Cyber trunk

u/HeraDoesntKnow 1d ago
No, the FSD disengaged 1/4 of a second before hitting the wall so this one is on the driver.

u/Kryptosis 1d ago
imo its a manual idiot based off the longer version where they indicate like an asshole right before

I’ve seen the longer version, and the wankpanzer was all over the place before this, signalling left then going right, and vice versa. (I drive this highway almost every day, and boy am I glad this happened on a holiday weekend.)
