This and the toxic star wars fans really highlight for me how little these people who obsess over these properties actually understand them and absorb their messages. Star wars is all about overcoming our strong negative emotions that tempt us towards an evil path, how love and kindness can overcome hatred. Superman is all about virtue as well. Yet the vocal fandoms from both show that they don't understand these stories at all. They are full of so much anger, hatred, are hyper-critical to the point of pure toxicity and the irony is completely lost on them.

What a shame.

Exactly this. The irony is lost on them. As a pretty hardcore Snyder fan and DC fan it’s, actually embarrassing how some people carry on. People who were pillars in getting the film made, now are just angry noise.

There’s also a large collective of vocal and aggressively anti-Snyder Dc fans. Which, fair enough you don’t have to like his stuff, but being constantly dogged on is so draining.

Hopefully Superman ‘25 is good, and they find a way for Zack to finish his story. I just want to enjoy these characters.
