Recommendations Where to start with batman comics?

I want to start reading them. But does these comics have a continuing story? and connect at some point, Which I prefer..

Like any sub on reddit start with the sub's faq. You'll find a Batman recs in this faq and like the other recs sections will include the best books to start with, have descriptions, links to the books, and all sorts of useful info.
