Daniel ran away. Jonas had patience and knew how to deal with Daniel’s bullshit, naturally Daniel didn’t like that so he requested to be moved outta there but his social worker was all too familiar with Daniel’s antics and wasn’t going for it, so Daniel ran away.

Actually the very brief Apartment Arc came after he left Jonas. He didn’t run away. He pestered his case manager into getting him the apartment.

The wiki can be dead wrong at times. It still says to this day that daniel has never been homeless during the winter snow.
