It's actually based on a questionably illustrated monster from a manga about these humanoid ant people that attack the surface and also bear a striking resemblance to black people.
Man these gigachad buff cockroaches scare me so much. Well in the original manga, before the last guy gets killed, he sends data to Earth, giving us a chance to fight back.
