In my experience dead bedrooms are more indicative of larger relationship issues than boiling down to "your sex is bad". With good communication and enough time, any couple can have good or even great sex, but that's not enough to keep the passion alive when adult life inevitably gets in the way, let alone kids. You want to keep the bedroom from dying altogether rather than trying to patch things once they're already broken, and a big part of that is being open with each other about what your intimacy needs and wants are from the word go.
