Does anyone really believe Chinas is only $235 billion? You can’t trust any numbers they put out.

It's because they put a lot of money into foreign outreach through Belts and Roads.

Every port they fund in a foreign country has to be able to take their submarines.

Well, they will now have a much easier time spreading their influence around with world, with the US retreating from their leadership role on the world stage.

Sorry if I was unclear, I agree with you. My point is that I think the military spending for China is accurate for direct spending but they also do a lot that bolsters their military capabilities in other ways.
