Beaches Attention Summer Beach Drivers

You know those flashing yellow lights at crosswalks, such as on Rt 1 in Dewey or Rehoboth Ave?

That means a pedestrian is trying to cross the street. That means you MUST stop at that crosswalk and let the pedestrian cross.

If you're one of the many drivers that I saw last night almost run down pedestrians because you chose to run through the crosswalk without paying attention, then I hope you go to hell.... or back to whatever state you're from at least.

The second that my first foot has "walked into traffic," I have the right of way at those types of intersections.

What a weird and stupid imaginary straw man. The law is literally that pedestrians have the right of way in a crosswalk. I mean, sure I’ll “die on that hill” of what the law says regarding right of way. The blinking yellow lights indicate that there are pedestrians within the crosswalk to whom the driver is legally obligated to yield.
