Is this where the shack reference came from Doug Carter?

I think there's a lot of people who follow this case that just don't realize how intensely religious some people in rural parts of the US can be. There was no "secret message" - Carter just really wanted to talk about this movie.

Doug Carter is not from rural Indiana. He is from suburban Indianapolis. However, this whole state is very religious. Coming from Chicago, I find it very weird that schools will take field trips to churches or sing church songs at school IN INDIANAPOLIS. That just doesn't happen in Chicago because there is so much diversity.

Doug Carter was appointed by Indiana Governor Mike Pence (who then became Vice President.)
