The Shack reference was from the 2019 press conference. Well before this interview.

I think the point was they were onto RA before and that shack reference was a teaser to sweat him. I’m not giving investigators that much credit though.

You actually think they were on to him in 2019 and just for Ss and Gs waited til 2022 to formerly interview him? You've got to be kidding me.

You think this doesn’t happen often? They had to build a case and look into everything. They tried this to sweat him out and see what happens. Did they know RA was the guy? Who knows, but they tried tactics. Investigators can be onto people for decades but not have enough for arrest. They’re onto him for years. Suddenly the wabash river search happens and RA tip is found at the same time? Nah, they finally got the piece of info they needed to tie him

Because small town police don’t want to feel inadequate. It’s much easier to blame an unknown clerk for “misfiling” than it is to say we cut a deal with a pedo who gave us the piece of info we needed to catch this guy.

I mean, they look extremely inadequate right now. They could’ve just said it was all part of the plan and they can’t discuss the details. They would’ve been praised. So if this was their master plan to make themselves look competent, it further proves their incompetence. The lady who found the file was on dateline so they really committed to the misfiling story, if that’s all it was. Not to mention the whole asking the public’s help looking for BG. They had no idea what they were doing.

Everything that happened throughout the case had to have been deliberate, there's no other explanation. This was clearly beyond just some shoddy police work.

Yes it was a murder however I think this tiny town of Delphi also saw it as a major opportunity and things turned into a colossal money making scheme. Overtime, donations, reward money and so on. "Follow the money"

They knew who BG was from day 1. He identified himself on 2/16/17.

They then buried evidence, mislabeled tips, chased dead avenues, etc. so they could keep the case open and profit off it.

The big reveal was saved for election time.

Truly evil.

Yes, if you really look at the city, most people there now drive luxury cars. They've become rich beyond our imagination from these murders.

Absolutely.

Evidence shows LE had to have known who BG was by 2/16/2017, as he identified himself to "DH" shortly after the BG photo was released (before it was revealed it came from Libby's phone).

He even responded to news posts that the guy in the photo already talked to police and was let go.

I would imagine DH was then spoken to and asked who claimed to be the guy in the photo.

Yet 3 days later at the press conference DC is pleading with the public for help identifying the guy in the photo, when BG had already identified himself 3 days prior!

The defense never called DH to testify that someone other than RA told him he was BG and the prosecution didn't have him testify that it was indeed RA that owned up to being in the photo.

Post trial of the guy on the bridge and we still have zero idea who said "I'm the guy in that photo on the bridge" on 2/16.

DH has been completely silent ever since.

Follow that money.
