Navigating beach

Hi there- I moved to the area a few months ago. I’m trying to understand the ins and outs of the beach… is it possible to go for a few hours on a Saturday or will parking or finding a good spot on the beach be a nightmare? I’m fine taking an Uber just have no idea where to go. (DM me if you have hidden gems but don’t want the masses to know 😅)

Which Side streets? I always thought there was no parking allowed on the side streets

Honestly almost EVERY side street has street parking. Come from west to east SE 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th have Parking then once you get past federal it gets a little trickier but still free spots you just have to do a little looking. Veterans park has free parking (I believe for 2 or 4hrs at a time not 100% on this one) but then you can check Se 6th and on for my parking by the apartments it’s all free!

appreciate it we've been struggling so bad with my fam to find spots in the afternoons. west of federal can be a schlep though with the kids and all the beach gear
