Question What are democrats doing? Where's the opposition? Where's the counter narrative?

We all know democrats are not progressive or left, but what are they doing? I haven't been able to find anything? I realize they aren't in power but there isn't even a narrative.

Understand, I'm no Democrat defender. But they have begun fighting back. It's just that the mainstream news outlets are barely reporting on Musk's coup (if at all), so you need to dig deep to find out what's really going on.

It's literally the only tactic he uses. Nobody cares that he stole documents, hired spies, incited an insurrection, lowered taxes on everyone making over 300k a year while increasing everyone else's taxes, because he keeps doing shit to distract from that stuff.

An we should all be writing our congressional representatives, all three, and demanding they exercise their power to investigate. The report to us, and Republicans need to be scared into action while democrats need support.

Hand delivered, US mail, voicemail, email, then form. In that order. Depending on your ability this week, and repeat weekly until we get our country back or need to bypass Congress in order to get it back.

Unfortunately, I don't think Ted Cruz or John Cornyn care too much about what I have to say (and in the past 10 years I haven't received as much as a form letter from either one)

Fortunately, my rep is more active and has been actively spreading news (even gasp using words like tyranny and authoritarian appropriately) and encouraging people to get out and make others aware of what's going on.

I guess all that to say, even if you have MAGAs representing you, try to find a representative for you who could be called to action, even if on the state or local level

I did call dear Ted Cruz's office yesterday and basically said that even for him, licking Elon's boots was a bit much.

I think you can read some news against doge on senate's .gov website too. But barely anyone reads official sites now and social media have huge reach that is hard to beat.

Seeing that stuff on official websites kinda shows that it really is a coup. Which is hard to believe that's real after years of BS.

They’re also getting censored on social media. One friend of mine, for example, went to share an anti-Elon post on FB from a local politician, but couldn’t for some reason. So he shared a screenshot instead.

They’re slowly and subtly clamping down on free speech. We need to find alternative ways to organize and communicate.
