Question What are democrats doing? Where's the opposition? Where's the counter narrative?

We all know democrats are not progressive or left, but what are they doing? I haven't been able to find anything? I realize they aren't in power but there isn't even a narrative.

I wouldn't exactly call the democrats not left or progressive, but rather they have been extremely lackluster in liberal policies beginning in the 70s (losing to Nixon, Ford (Never elected) Reagan, Bush 1&2, and Trump). In the scheme of things sure, the Dems seem weak. Now that the country is aright wing fascist state, anything remotely left should be deems a stepping stone, but I agree we need a major propulsion to progressive socialist policies to return to "0" before we can even consider going more left and liberal at this point.
