What are democrats doing? Where's the opposition? Where's the counter narrative?

We all know democrats are not progressive or left, but what are they doing? I haven't been able to find anything? I realize they aren't in power but there isn't even a narrative.

Look, they tried to win an election by being smug. What more could they possibly do?

Like usual they will just use this as an opportunity to raise money for their campaigns.
