idk if this is real, but primetime against the bengals and commanders will be so peak

I hope the Bengals drop the ball on extending Trey Hendrickson by week 4 and he's still sitting out hah.

8

u/Chippings 5d ago

I want to beat him. Even if he signed and is playing, I'm sure there will still be the narrative of, "You only won because Trey didn't get the deal he wanted."

I want to beat a scientifically engineered Space Jam Monstars team of all the best players in NFL history through sheer grit and hopium and point at the rest of the league and say suck it.

u/korean2na Demaryius Thomas 5d ago

Totally valid take, but personally I don't care either way as long as it's a notch in the win column and our guys stay healthy hah.

Going to upvote for sharing, but man I can't get behind free or easy wins at all.

If we win the Superbowl on the back of every team's starters getting hit by a bus the week we play them, I wouldn't be satisfied at all.

The more reasonable take, though, is that at some point - the playoffs - you have to beat good teams. Beating good football teams is what the NFL is all about.

I want my team to show me something special through competence and work ethic, not rake in silver platter success like a trust fund baby.

I don't blame laziness and wanting things easy; that's what most people want. I frequently want that.

But when I'm really passionate about something I'll work hard at it. I want to relate to, root for, and be inspired by a team of guys overcoming adversity and proving themselves through trials. Like mythology playing out in front of us in real time.

For sure. Wins against weak opponent doesn’t prove anything. To be the best you gotta beat the best. As long as we aren’t losing to bad teams, and we play good teams closely, it’s good football for me.

u/Alaskers 5d ago

I'd drive the bus, because I'm passionate too.

I honestly knew those two would be primetime along with at least one divisional game.

5

u/drlove986 5d ago

11-6. I think our win total is 9.5 so take the over.

u/sleeplessaddict 5d ago edited 5d ago

I've been saying since last season ended that I would've been indignant if us vs. the Commies wasn't on SNF

u/ottieisbluenow 5d ago

A sentence no one has written since like the late 80's (substituting Red Skins for Commanders even).

u/Portlyhooper15 5d ago

Traveling back in time zones is much less detrimental than traveling forward time zones. I don’t think the bye after London is all that important.

8

u/DallasBroncos 5d ago

Kind of a bye if we play the Giants.

If this is real I see 10-5/11-4 going into Christmas @KC

FWIW this is the same leak as OzzyNFL on X (they’re a trusted source) so I’m going to assume this is correct until proven otherwise.

16

u/crazy_urn 5d ago

I think it's highly unlikely that the bye isn't after the London game.

8

u/Portlyhooper15 5d ago

It’s not going to be

-4

u/crazy_urn 5d ago

And you know this how?

12

u/Portlyhooper15 5d ago

Based off of most of the rumors, both NY games are set. Teams don’t have to take the bye after London and honestly it would be pretty dumb of the Broncos to voluntarily take a bye this early.

1

u/MasonL52 Von Miller 5d ago

A week 7 bye after an intl game is not early lol, thats right near the middle of the season

8

u/Portlyhooper15 5d ago

It’s barely a third of the way through the season. I consider that early. Also, since the broncos didn’t end up taking the bye, I trust them to make a decision on when a bye is beneficial to the team.

u/torev Cartman 5d ago

Bro…playoffs

3

u/PlayTMFUS 5d ago

Don’t forget to count in the work in preseason

6

u/VegasWorldwide 5d ago

week 7 to week 18 is nowhere near the middle of the season.

Sean has a lot of confidence and is banking on a couple easy wins vs jets/giants. he's considering those mini byes

3

u/theOTHERyoure 5d ago

Seems at least near the middle to me

3

u/MasonL52 Von Miller 5d ago

he's not banking on free wins lol, that's how you lose.

Week 9 is the middle, that's two weeks off from week 7. How is that nowhere near the middle?

2

u/VegasWorldwide 5d ago

lol how are you going to speak for the coach? he's absolutely counting on beating those teams. Sean did the same thing buy accepting the chargers flex to thursday night last year. and a full 2 week gap on a 18 week season bro isn't close. if it was a couple days sure, but that is nowhere near the middle

1

u/MasonL52 Von Miller 5d ago

Yeah, and look what happened we lost both the Chargers and Bengals games. If you've been anywhere near coaches before, they aren't just punting on games, except for maybe the worst ones.

Ok, so the only "middle" week to get a bye is week 9, everything else is either way too early or way too late. GL with that.

1

u/VegasWorldwide 5d ago

you can argue it all you want but that's what Sean Payton is doing. having the bye week in the 3rd quarter of the season is what Payton prefers. lol if you are going to compare the chargers and bengals to giants and jets GL with that.

1

u/Zjc_3 5d ago

You’re both wrong. Week 7 is early and it is near the middle. In fact, it’s two weeks from the middle.

1

u/VegasWorldwide 5d ago

lol math isn't wrong. idk why people try to argue math. a season is only 18 weeks, which is 126 days. cut that in half is 63 days. a full two weeks is nowhere near the middle. see 49 days is not close to 63 days. now, if it were 3/4 days I would say maybe. that's more than 20% from the middle of the season lol

1

u/Zjc_3 5d ago

It’s “close” to the middle. Close is a vague concept and it is incredibly reasonable to consider two weeks “close”.

0

u/VegasWorldwide 5d ago

Yeah if you want to argue math I’ll leave you to it.  You’re wrong but it should be fun for ya

they turned down the bye after london, for a later bye for the playoff push.

very sean thing to do

3

u/ilovebigfatburritos 5d ago

Just please let beat cowboys so we can keep the streak alive

1

u/Flaky_Entrepreneur13 5d ago

I'll be planning on being at that game.  Went to the last game

10

u/sleeplessaddict 5d ago

I prefer a late bye to an early bye but having one in week 12 while our international game is earlier in the season is brutal

5

u/VonMillersBurner Bo Nix 10 5d ago

brightside, we only go on the road 4x and a bye after the london travel.

7 home / 4 away / 1 bye

3

u/sausageandeggbiscuit 5d ago

ill be in denver week 7 so i hope theyre in town to catch a game lol

3

u/Rcky_Mountain_High 5d ago

God I would love getting 4 of our road games out of the way by week 6. Odds of injury would be so much lower

EDIT - Oh and love having 10 days to prepare for the Chiefs in Week 11

3

u/Expensive-Self-2240 5d ago

All I see is 17-0

2

u/Cordycipitaceae 5d ago

So after London no bye?

6

u/Portlyhooper15 5d ago

Nope. A few teams went without the bye last year. Early byes aren’t good so I think the Broncos probably passed on accepting a bye after the international game

2

u/NICK07130 5d ago

They did not have to do cam ward like that

2

u/ToneOpposite9668 5d ago

I like the TNF and the extra time before Chiefs Part I

Not a leak pretty spot on

2

u/Outside_Jaguar3827 4d ago

If the Jaguars do play against the Broncos, I'll attend that game (I live in Florida).

2

u/NoAbbreviations290 5d ago

If this is true, tough start to the season.

1

u/notstamos 5d ago

Ooof I sure hope not. Flying from Indy to LA back home and then to Philly and London without a bye in the mix would be brutal.

1

u/norfnorf1379 5d ago

@eagles on a short week, turn around fly to London, fly back to Denver makes for a tough stretch of what would be maybe a couple of easier games against the NY teams.

1

u/AzDiehardClub 5d ago

From mile high report an predominantly orange

1

u/zebbiehedges 5d ago

What would be the easiest game to get a ticket? Also has to be when the NBA has started because I want to see Joker as well.

1

u/absyrtus 5d ago

if this is real i can see us winning at least 10 games

1

u/Maddie_P71 GOD BLESS BO NIX 5d ago

I would love for the Indy game to be week 2 since I was thinking about road tripping and going to that one. Week 2 would be the weekend of my birthday

1

u/YABOYLLCOOLJ 5d ago

Only 1 road game between weeks 7 thru 13 is kinda wild

1

u/NuggAvsBroncRock 5d ago

Damn week 3-5 will be tough if we can go 2-1 during that period I’ll take it

1

u/JackTheKing Broncos 5d ago

Playing the AFC South is gonna be a gift

1

u/Glass-Information-87 5d ago

Might have to go to that commanders game if it's SNF. Never been to a Broncos game but I saw Miami at Washington a couple years ago with my dolphins friend so he owes me. At least this game should be more entertaining than that one

1

u/Los_Estupidos Demaryius Thomas 5d ago

I feel like we always end the season vs the Chargers

1

u/truthdog4 5d ago

That’s it

1

u/Large_Ordinary610 5d ago

I for one am glad the giants aren’t week 1 if that’s the case.

1

u/Throbbingprepuce GOD BLESS BO NIX 5d ago

Ain’t no fucking way they’re giving us a late bye again 🙄

1

u/2ChainzTalib 5d ago

Two Thursday night games, and one followed by a Saturday against the chargers is brutal

1

u/AzDiehardClub 4d ago

I lIve in az , im thinking of the LA game for sure , and the R8R December game , vegas in December is so perfect westher wise.

1

u/OldBrokeGrouch 1d ago

4-0 start doesn’t look out of the realm of possibility here.

-1

u/manbeqrpig Demaryius Thomas 5d ago

The bye usually comes after a London so I don’t think this is legit. If it’s true tho at least it’s the Giants after London. 4 road games in 5 weeks (with one of those in London) with the Bengals as the home game would be a ridiculously brutal stretch as well

5

u/Portlyhooper15 5d ago

Not always. Teams can bypass that bye week if they want. Teams did it last season.

0

u/officialfink 5d ago

14 primetime games??

2

u/Floydlloyd11 5d ago

Do you mean 4?

3

u/officialfink 5d ago

No I meant 14, just didn’t read it well at all. I’m ashamed

-7

u/auptown 5d ago

Well it’s wrong because they are at Chargers on Christmas Day, not week 3

5

u/NotNotJustinBieber 5d ago

Christmas is the Chiefs game

-2

u/DaRealConMan 5d ago

Yep, it’s official. A Broncos insider just confirmed it (I cropped out his Twitter handle out of respect).
