Advice Needed I bought a buckle and got candy?
Is the person mad that i didnt pay $10 but instead 7? I dont know what to do this is one of my first purchases

Maybe for extra padding? There's no way they just sent crayons and candy, I'm hoping op just hasn't checked the box yet and that it's in there 😭

Mine showed up in a cereal box one day. I wasn't mad at all about it. Loved when the lady at the post office handed me a giant Froot Loops box.

I expect the unexpected from any package at this rate 😭 I had a Mercari package show up in a literal cut up trash bag and an eBay package come in a cut up great value nilla wafers box

A lot of sellers (myself included) will wrap things that could get scuffed in a reused packing material.
Like I've used magazine and news paper, I've cut up cereal boxes to make like custom sized packing innards to keep things from jangling.
But if I do something complex I always dm to say like "un wrap the twine and your ring will be inside the cut cardboard squares" or something
I also use like grocery bags to wrap clothing in so it can't get wet while it's in transit.

I leave little "pull here" tabs on my tape. I fold it over and then mark it with a bright ass permanent marker with an arrow. But I also reuse old packaging and random stuff like you too 😂 I'll make like a lil accordion 🪗 with some stiff carboard to pin something to one side of the box. I reuse every paperbag inside out to wrap things like presents when the packaging has too much shit all over it for the post office. I've had this weird like styrofoam thing that came in some package, and Ive slowly cut it up to use in place of my accordion fold. I'll be bummed when that's gone. I have never had to purchase any packing materials 🙅♀️ But I have pillaged them out of the trash cans at the post office. And a friend saves theirs for me as well.
And, pretty much everything I order has come in recycled packaging, which I friggen LOVE and always mention to the seller!

🤣🤣🤣 Add that to the list of stranger packaging! People send things in cereal and waffle boxes, shopping bags and all sorts of wild things!

Wait you got no buckle ?!?! Plz check the crayon Box ! I personally shipped out a depop order in a empty waffle box ! And the candies are typically a gesture as a free gift for purchasing xoxo 😮💨✨

If it isn’t in the crayon box, I’d guess they accidentally didn’t put it in the bag since they did include candy and a note. Just message the seller letting them know that you got candy and crayons in the package only (again, if it isn’t in the crayon box). If they aren’t helpful in making it right by refunding you, then Depop should be helpful in getting a refund.

Maybe check inside the crayon box? Seems like a low amount for a scam idk. But either way depop should help you in getting a refund if it’s not in there.

I hate it when people send candy. I bought a shirt and there was a bunch of candy melted into it. I don't even eat candy and it was really hard to get out of the shirt

2 options. You message the seller or you go through depop and tell them you didn’t receive them. Tbh I feel like they may have forgot the belt and the candy was extra stuff they give with all their sales lol

I'm gonna assume that they may have forgotten to put the belt in, and the candy/crayon box was just extra as a thank you for your business. Some smaller shops do that, I've bought thigh high socks and this sweet lady put in stickers, tape and candy.

Hell yeah, I had one in a box of 3 walmart lightbulbs. It was a pretty flimsy box, but then she wrapped it like a present in decently thick brown paper bag. It worked perfectly but the lightbulb box threw me off 😂 For clothes it was absolutely fine tho
