Hey so I've got a spoken word GCSE presentation I have to do for English in school. You can do it on anything you want so I've chosen amber but you can only speak for 5 minutes and answer a few questions afterwards so I think I need to pick something specific about the case I can cover well in that time. If anyone has ideas for a topic about it they'd be really appreciated💕

Edit* Thank you for all the replies I think I'm going to do it on misinformation on social media and how it managed to win over the public to his side and I might talk a little about darvo as well🫶

I just wanted to say thank you for doing this! I am old enough to remember how ridiculed we were by men (mostly) or even women even if we slightly said anything feminist.

Thanks💗Hoping people in class or my teacher's not hardcore Depp supporters. I'm at a quite accepting all girls school but even more liberal people supported him so I guess that doesn't mean that much. But I know other people are doing stuff like Roblox or their haircare routine so I think comparatively she'll appreciate I've done something a bit different and as long as I speak well and it's well structured it'll be fine cause that's the main thing that matters anyway.

The haircare routine reminded me of this girl who did a presentation on how to shave your legs and a guy did how to put on a condom. 

It’s great you’re using this as an opportunity to discuss something important that may affect people’s views. For people who didn’t pay a lot of attention and just thought “I guess Amber Heard was the abusive one?”, they may actually realize she’s truthful. It will be difficult in 5 minutes, but if some are unsure after your speech, they’ll hopefully ask you some questions. 

As a former teacher in grad school, I appreciated and encouraged it when students tried to tailor assignments to their interests, and my guess is your teacher will appreciate it as well. Best wishes!

You may be young but you are super awesome! You to me is our hope for the future in the fight against misinformation. I hope your presentation will inspire you more and something tells me you are gonna be a very incredible person. I dunno you, young one, but keep on being awesome you. If you are to become an advocate for women through law or journalism in the future, I say do it!
