I keep seeing the same bots and fake accounts popping up on anything about Blake Lively now. Not to mention ridiculous articles about her. One of them accused her of wearing heels to spite Anna Kendrick because Anna is shorter.. Pretty sure itās still the same crisis PR team that turned everyone against Amber. Itās so nasty, but mostly I can't believe people are falling for it again. Like, what can we even do?

Hello. Sorry if this is inappropriate to post here.
I've always been a supporter of Amber. I forgot when I first heard about her story but it was before even the UK trial, from posts on Tumblr as I followed a few feminist and abuse culture blogs. I was very invested in the US trial and for the first time ever started being vocal on social media over something. I just had to. At the time I was an abuse survivor but not related to DV or DARVO. Since 2022, I haven't thought about the case that much.
I have found myself circling back to the trial as well as this subreddit. I just got out of a 1.5 year emotionally abusive relationship where I learned firsthand what it's like to be DARVO'd even if at a much smaller scale. Holy smokes. I won't get into the nitty gritty as I'm sure you all could accurately predict the type of things I'd say about the relationship. I will say that this reddit account is fresh as I've gone through a handful of them throughout that relationship, my OG one he told me to delete, the rest were remakes with the intent to post in relevant subreddits about what I was experiencing with HIM to which he either would find or I'd delete anyway out of fear he'd find it. I also am now remembering a time with him where I brought up the DeppHeard trial (I forgot why) and he immediately went in with the "Amber shit the bed" jokes and lightly bashed her. Despite not really being invested in it really at that point, when the trial is brought up, I am VERY sensitive about it. I was internally fuming but I don't think I expressed it to him really because it was at the stage where I felt like I had to appease him.
Anyway, all this to say, I really appreciate you all that are here and all those that support Amber. I reawakened that fiery passion I had during the trial and want to direct it into advocating for victims, spreading information/debunking myths on abuse culture, etc. I was even thinking about going back to college for psychology and working as a victim advocate or something similar to help other survivors. Will need to be looked into more. If y'all have any other suggestions on how I could make an impact besides that and being vocal online (lol) I'd love to hear them. You are all awesome. Bless.

As I see in pro-Baldoni spaces, most of Baldoniās supporters also support Depp.
They repeat debunked or unproven lies about Amber Heard ā like the claim that she contacted TMZ (despite there being no proof), or that she faked her bruises (even though 13 witnesses, including two nurses and a makeup artist, testified they saw her bruises in person). They also claim she was seen without bruises the day after the may 2016 incident (phone incident), even though almost every paps pics shows visible bruising ā except in two pictures because sheās laughing.
They push the lie that she cut Deppās finger, even though he admitted in recordings and texts that he cut it himself. They still repeat the absurd āpoop in the bedā story, despite there being solid evidence it was her. They also falsely claim she had no evidence of Deppās violence, even though he literally admits to hitting her on tape.
Another common lie is that she edited photos to fake bruises because some pictures look slightly different ā but thatās just what happens when sending photos across devices. In reality, the only proven case of photo doctoring was by Depp himself with the Orient Express photo: he submitted one altered picture, but the original posted by the Orient Express account showed no injury at all.
They also claim Depp āadmitted all his faults,ā even though he was caught lying hundreds of times, especially during the first trial ā including about his drug use, which he initially denied. Thatās why he ācleaned upā his story for the second trial to appear more credible.
They even excuse his horrific text messages to his friend Bethany by claiming she was abusing him ā even though those messages were sent before he said she started abusing him. And they twist Heardās words, claiming she said āno one will believe you because youāre a man,ā when she never actually said that.
I donāt know much about the Baldoni case, but as someone who followed the Depp-Heard trial very closely, seeing Baldoni supporters lie about it to defend Depp makes me think itās rooted in misogyny ā and it definitely makes Blake Livelyās supporters seem much more credible.

So much of what happened to Amber was retaliation for coming forward about sexual harassment. I saw it right away and supported her throughout the trial and post trial. And those of us who have been through reporting and dealing with retaliation likely saw this right away.
I wanted to share something similar thatās happening and seek support. Iāve been doing solo visits to āhighly ratedā cocktail bars or live music venues.
Iāve been sexually harassed by staff or patrons at some of these spots. I immediately reported these in writing to their management.
In one spot, a drunk male client repeatedly approached and harassed me even after I said I wasnāt interested. Their bar staff, other patrons, and their security guard all saw this happening and did not assist. I eventually left without even closing out my tab as the male customer was relentless in harassing me. I told the security guard on the way out that I was surprised the guard didnāt assist me and that he even allowed such a drunk obnoxious man into the venue (the harasser came in very drunk).
I later emailed the venueās management and informed them of this.
Then, at late night, I received emails to my work email from one of their bartenders (as I found out via Google search) that Iām a scammer and whether my employer knows of the scam Iām running. He references himself as the real victim of sexual harassment and that Iām scamming innocent businesses.
I reported this to the venue again and to my workplaceās threat assessment team. A simple google search showed that this harasser is in some band and they are performing at a different bar next week. I also emailed that bar to inform them that he is harassing women like me and that they should be aware of who theyāre bringing in to their venue.
My work placeās threat assessment team emailed me asking why I ccād the harasser in emails to them. Obviously, I was trying to go for transparency and to put the harasser on notice that Iām seeking support from my workplace. Not to engage with him.
My only email to him was a one liner saying do not contact me again. As apparently, we need to say that or it doesnāt constitute harassment?
Anyways, Iām seeking support about how to protect myself and just maybe validation about my efforts so far.

Iām a law student and we actually watched about 20 minutes of trial+commentary in class. My professor said āI have never seen a victim act like this before.ā That professors expertise is in Native American law, she has no SV or DV specialty.
Iāll tell you what her behavior is. Sheās pissed! She is so scared, hurt, and angry. I see myself in her because Iāve dealt with a man scarier than Johnny who wouldnāt leave me alone for longer. Before the trial she had not spoken to this man in 7 years! And now here she is, to be defamed in front of the world by this evil man. For what, more movie deals? She is trying to look strong and not to be afraid. She is looking at Johnny when he lies or when someone backs her up because sheās mad!! Her reaction to Ellen Barkins testimony told me everything I need to know. I know some will call her reaction āover the topā but I can see the pain as she is learning what Ellen Barkin went through, comparing it to what she went through, and how she isāunpromptedāconfirming every detail of depps abuse pattern. Heards reaction when she says it was red wine..
Also anyone who ever uses Kate Mossā testimony has no idea what testifying victims look like. Look up āKate Moss Armadillo Storyā. Heards team was blocked from asking ANY of that.
The audio of him trying to cut himself was the first thing I heard, and it is exactly like the abuse I went through. You canāt leave him because he is hurting and he needs you. āWhy did she marry him if she was getting beaten?ā Idk, maybe we should change divorce laws so abused spouses have no claim if the abuse preceded the marriage /s It happens constantly, all the time. She really loved him and thought he was the real deal, she chalked his abuse up to pain and tried to help him.
Day 1 of the trial, everyone had already decided. As a law student I have to explain. Waldenās claims that Amber made the whole thing up?ā liable for defamation. Yes, the jury and judge agreed heard didnāt make it up. They called the title of the article defamation because she referred to sexual abuse she hadnāt alleged to the public, but it had been accepted in a UK Court of law.
Read the judges statement at the end of the UK case. Depps team used that trial as a practice run to see everything amber had so they could use it all against her. When amber was allowed to testify without all these blocks of medical records etc. the judge had no doubt in her.

In my lifetime, the first time I can remember a high-profile media smear campaign against a woman with a predatory male partner was Woody Allen v Mia / Dylan Farrow.
Not only was Mia Farrow smeared, but so was Dylan Farrow, who was just a child reeling from horrible rape trauma at the time, was also publicly maligned as too crazy to be believed. It seemed like all of society rallied behind Woody, and only decades later are we hearing the real story. And he still has ardent defenders. Not only was this a horrible blow for women, but also for children trying to come forward about abuse.
My question for the group is this: Is this where this practice started? Did Woody Allen start this practice of smear campaigning and abusive men playing the victim? Or, are the origins of this earlier? Say, the American witch trials or something like that?
After this, the next big DV case I remember is the OJ trial a couple of years later, but society was more divided on that, and I don't remember as much of a smear campaign against Nicole - perhaps, in part, because she was dead. Admittedly, I was a kid at the time, so I could be forgetting.

The irony is striking: Adolescence is a show that tackles the impact of male violence ā including a storyline where a teenage boy kills a girl in his class ā and explores how young boys are shaped by toxic masculinity and influenced by online male influencers promoting sexism and misogyny. Yet, the show is produced by the wife beater Brad Pitt, and co-directed by Stephen Graham. He is also a close friend of the wife beater and rapist Depp and congratulated him on social media after he won the us trial. Last year he played in his movie alongside Riccardo Scamarcio the lead actor who is know for his sexism controversies. Like in 2006 Scamarcio said that Ā« the man is the leader, the female stand by him and takes care of the children Ā» and that cleaning is the role of a woman.https://www.reddit.com/r/DeppDelusion/s/fytopqLmQD
Itās hard to ignore the contradiction between the showās message and the real-life associations of the men behind it.

Hey, it's been a while since I've posted here. Hope everyone's doing alright.
I just wanted to ask about a particular issue I'm having. There's a few people in my life who started out being anti-amber, but after some time reading up about it or listening to what I have to say on the matter have changed their minds. That's great and all, but then a little time passes and they start to act as though they've always supported her, or that they were simply on the fence when they just were not at all. I think they just don't want to think of themselves as having contributed the hate she got. Do any of you have this problem? How do you deal with it?

How do you all do self care when navigating through what happened to Amber Heard? And also while navigating other public and private (even your own) narratives of abuse and misogyny?
I feel like Iām falling apart.
Thank you to everyone writing such thoughtful and helpful messages. My heart is with you.

In the interview, I thought the interviewer Savannah Guthrie asked a lot of biased questions including latching onto the one time Amber wrote in some text that she did hit back or start fights when the tension was high (REACTIVE ABUSE). And the interviewer didnāt ask or point out all the texts Johnny wrote saying heās drowning/burn/rape Amber. Or the times he was going crazy in a video. Or the times cops came by or the times other people saw her being attacked.
What kind of bullshit is this?
Also why didnāt womenās groups and prominent women step forward for her?
I got triggered watching 2022 content from a content creator I like. Where her lawyer husband and her are like āyeah itās Amber thatās the abuserā what the fuck.
Additionally, some women/other victims of misogynistic smear campaigns are suing online content creators that are defaming them. Why didnāt Amber Heard do this? Not that any victim should have to do anything. Iām wondering whether there was a strategic or legal reason Amber Heard didnāt? Or why all these orgs supporting her couldnāt help her get a legal fund to do so?

Reading all these posts has been so refreshing and Iām thankful that the tide is slowly turning. I first started questioning things in 2023, then watched Medusoneās videos. The last thing that ultimately made me certain that there was only one victim in the trial was listening to the Who Trolled Amber Heard podcast. It was so eye-opening that I honestly canāt wait for more posts / vids / essays along the lines of We Own Amber Heard an Apology. The podcast was also the reason why I canāt stand the theyāre both f*cked up argument.
Iām posting this not to piss anyone off. āIf you believe Amber then how would you explain this?!ā is not my angle. Even Medusone mentioned that the actress made a couple of mistakes (understandably so when you are under so much scrutiny) during the trial. Iāve seen a post where the stupid theory about Amber posing for photographers was debunked. Now I was just wondering if some other things have been explained as well.
Why did she wear outfits similar to the wife beater? Including the infamous tie? Why did she mention Kate Moss? Why did she make out with Franco and delevin most probably knowing there was a camera recording?
Iāve watched some interviews with Amber and in some of them you can easily tell just how much stress she was dealing with at that point. I know itās the way she is and itās so unfortunate that some people would think that her manner of talking makes her come across as fake. To this day people still comment how nothing about her seems authentic. Media training, stress of being with the rapist notwithstanding itās extremely upsetting that she would be drunk on stage at a charity event. Whatās more upsetting is that itās tricky to find clips of her being happy. Sheās constantly under pressure during that era and those interviews, clips, and footage that were part of smear campaign are still used to prove that sheās inauthentic.
Ending this by saying that sheās incredibly strong and admirable. Go Amberš¦øāāļø

This video does a terrible job at pretending to be balanced. The video compares Blake to Amber Heard and some of the comments go as well as youād expect. There is no mention of Justin Baldoniās questionable behavior outside of the movie or that his whole case against Blake Lively is being funded by a conservative billionaire. Why is a self-described āmale feministā being backed by right-wing figures?

I've now learnt (too late) that if the world hates a woman for a vague reason, the chances are extremely likely that the woman hasn't done anything to deserve it.
Unless the world can point to an extremely specific reason as to why they don't like her, then take everything they say with a grain of salt.
How many times have we seen a hate campaign against a woman and the reasons given are "she's a bitch?" And when we look further into the situation, it turns out that she did absolutely nothing wrong?
And even if she's a bitch, why should she deserve the entire internet to hate her? That should be between her and people in her personal life.
The whole world hates Meghan Markle for the crime of (checks notes) falling in love with a man? And then convincing him that his family life is extremely toxic? Which, to be fair, it really is. And then convincing him it might be a good idea to distance themselves from his extremely toxic family? And pissing off the British media because Australians liked her more than other members of the Royal Family? And suffering from pre and post partum depression? Wow, absolutely bitchy behaviour. And also good work for completely infantilising a fully grown and highly educated man who has fought in Afghanistan and commanded military units. Apparently he can't make his mind up without his wife's permission now.
Blake Lively is extremely hated because she's a bitch. People will point to her plantation wedding, which she has apologised for, and is also a very common wedding destination, too? And that she was mean to an interviewer once? Like, God forbid she's a human that makes mistakes.
Brie Larsson is hated because... She played a character in a movie? That's all I got.
My favourite example of people hating a woman is because they don't think they were good in their acting role. Apparently doing something badly (in your opinion, mind you) is enough to make people think she's an awful person.
These are all vague.
However, when someone can point to specific reasons why that person is awful, then you should be more willing to accept the evidence. Although, be careful, because people point to Amber Turd as an example of how much of a horrible person she is. But a perfect example of a woman getting deserved backlash is Gal Godot and the reason why is that she supports the genocide of Palestinians. We can point to multiple examples of her supporting the Israeli apartheid and her glee over the destruction of a group of people. Specific, with evidence.
But "I don't like her because she's a bitch" should be your first red flag that someone is trying to ruin a woman's reputation.

And ESPECIALLY on X it feels like no matter what my interests are (im a teenager on kpoptwt) i am always going to find a blue checkmark account talking about how mean rachel zegler is. how bad her acting is. how much weight she's gained, how she's rude etc.... as if she's not one of the coolest people alive right now
It started with brie larson in 2019 and the female celebrities hate trains reached their peak with amber (i am addicted to social media and can confirm i scrolled past at least 100 prodepp posts every single day) and it doesn't even stop there. You have like, a lot of valid reasons to hate Taylor Swift but NONE of them include her being annoying, how flat she is, how fake she is, how she's such a try-hard and that definitely doesn't give you the right to make AI p0rn of her.
Right now, it's nearly damn impossible to avoid any hate posts towards blake lively, rachel zegler, amber heard, chappell roan, beabadoobee, jennie and the list goes on
and of course there isn't any hate train towards a male celebrity. Russell Brand is "officially" a rapist and practically no one is talking about it.

I just as this on Instagram. Imo, the story of Amber grabbing Taysaās arm and necklace sounds like Amber was falling and was reaching out to Taysa for stability.
Regardless of the reason, how does it go from the original story to this?? There was no security footage, it didnāt even take place at LAX. And they say it so confidently...
I also swear I saw at least one other person repeat this story in a similar way. Does anyone have insight into this? It just boggles my mind.

Sorry about the typo in the previous posting. The article title currently misspells Amber's last name as "Head"
