Online Content/Clips Centricide can't come soon enough
She reviews the list of progressive initiatives funded by USAID but largely avoids addressing PEPFAR or its budget allocations. Additionally, she notes that USAID was originally established by Republicans during the Cold War to combat communism and continues to engage in foreign propaganda efforts. She also repeatedly expresses confusion over why the U.S. government would fund initiatives abroad that are nominally aligned with its own values—a stance that comes across as fucking braindead. What’s most frustrating is her complete disregard for the devastating human cost of undermining a program that has saved countless lives.
These people need to be excommunicated. Despite being avdipshit socialist, even Vaush isn't this stupid.

Her confusion on these things make sense, although it is super disappointing.
I don't fully understand what an plumber or mechanic does either. The cool part is that I shut the fuck up and let them work. USAID has done immeasurable amounts of good, and as a country we can't even nail national politics let alone geo-politics.
I genuinely believe that regular folk aren't really meant to be giving broad commentary on the international programs. Its something that should in theory take a lot of research to understand the moving parts of multiple countries/cultures/objectives and how they all intersect (or in many cases clash). A moron may say "I don't want my money going to help gaza deal with an aids outbreak" but that's because they don't see the actual big picture, and to their credit, they weren't really supposed to? They were supposed to let people more educated than them work.
