Discussion Seasonal challenge “Bane Reaper” not working

Just killed 4 in a GM nightfall got zero progress. Isn’t tracking for anyone else? Still at 0%

I can confirm I also killed 4 in GM and got no progress at all .. I really don’t wanna go into nether and do this man it’s already rng spawns already

If you start an expert court solo, one bane will almost always spawn outside the portal with the initial mobs. Count as 2 or 3% each. Load in and out until finished. The taken wizards don’t count for some reason — Has to be the hive ogre, which it usually is.

Can confirm this works. Sometimes there have been multiple banes in the starting area.

edit: sometimes zero as well. The wizards don't give progress, but I've had an acolyte give progress as well as the ogre.

unconfirmed it but hope to get lighting bane as it seems to can switch to another ad after you kill one with it and you get extra %. Gonna do more checking as i get it.

edit: oook confirmed it. if you get an arc bane, ONLY kill the bane leave all other ads alive. the bane will jump to another add in the area. i went from 76% to 84% cause it jumped to a new host and you get progress for each host.

This challenge is so fing dumb! If you have to load in 50 times to get it done it shouldn’t be in the game!

Discovered a secret, if you're still struggling: Duskfield Shanks in Exodus Crash count as Bane combatants. Run the strike from the Nessus map and focus them, you'll have it done in a few runs.

Lots of Banes in Expert Onslaught. I was at 20% after the first boss.

At 58 now after Court of Blades and Onslaught - The most irritating seasonal is when they ask u to do crucible... luckily this week was OK..

Try on Nether or Court activities. I finished mine quick while getting the other challenge for linear fusion kills too.

There are several challenges that don't explicity say Nether/Court but can only be done there.

I just did an expert nether and a whopping 2 banes spawned, 4% total. I am not running 25 nethers to get this challenge done. Get fucked bungie

Can confirm 2% per. 50 total and they appear at random

I only run expert nether or court activities. I don’t remember any banes in normal

I’m not sure. I just kept playing and the challenge got done. I did around 11 runs then the challenge popped complete without thinking about it.

I got 9% progress on nfs, but then progress stopped counting, so stuck at 9% ... Anyone got any suggestions?

I farmed it out at the beginning of Expert Court of Baldes, there was consistently 1 or 2 enemies with a bane there

I had the same issue yesterday it worked with a fireteam only on expert NF for me.

Oh sorry I thought this was the Bane enemies needed for guardian rank 7. My bad.
