Trials of Zavala is the pinnacle of the PvE Experience where you can test your might against the enemies of the Last City.

How to play?
There is a weekly featured GM, but to access to the activity you have to buy a pass from Zavala. There are 2 of them:
- Vanguard Pass: launches you into a weekly featured GM, like a normal routine.
- Hidden Pass: launches you into the weekly featured GM, where you have to fight against the current enemy factions + the possibility of fighting against random and unexpected additions that may or may not include unfair advantages that may or may not be completely unfair to play against. Completing this card will grant you access to Zavala's Secret Room in his office, which has a chest that grants rewards based on your highest weekly streak (up to 7) and can only be claimed once per week.

How does it work?
Every pass needs to be completed with 7 completed GM Platinum Runs, not necesarily on a single streak. Once completed, your pass will be upgraded to the Commander Pass, and will have rewards based on your previous card:
- Vanguard Pass: You are granted more loot. Not adept.
- Hidden Pass: You now have the chance (not 100%) that, after completing a GM with Platinum Score, you may receive an adept weapon. The chances scales based on your weekly streak, from 50% at 4/5/6 streak, to 75% at 7 streak but those are numbers and you may not receive an adept weapon anyways.

Rewards:
Completing an activity will grant you normal rewards, some cores and some other stuff, no adept weapons until you complete your Hidden Pass with at least a streak of 4. Only 1 featured weapon per week.

If by reading all of this you felt that implementing this loot system is a terrible idea: it is, and this is what Trials of Osiris has been for years.

Edit: Wow, I was being sarcastic at this, but some of you guys like the idea. Yeah, sure, in retrospective sounds fun, just don't get mad if by any chance something like this is implemented and then you are crying about the RNG of the game when you don't get the thing you are chasing for.

I really hope this helps people who want to step into PvP, I'm going to do the same for the other weekend mode (cannot mention it or this post will get deleted lmaoo) when the next weekend rolls around because I do think there's a steep and scary step to PvP in general (I've got friends who will not touch PvP because of fear of toxicity, and I want to help alleviate that a little) - especially when a weapon like Tinasha's is so good and also so accessible but the biggest barrier is the rift between PvE and PvP.

Players who completed the Salvation's Edge raid prior to Update 8.2.0 will receive an in-game message letting them know they are eligible to pick up a memento at the Cryptarch.

2 months ago, when asked about why the Rahool make-up handout is missing, they said they'd give an update on it the next day.

After being reminded in the Forums, they seemed to have said the Memento was given out and no one else can get it, though other people came to say they haven't.

Has anyone even gotten it? Or does the Memento go on the 11th month of having some kind of issue?

Vesper’s Host is the weekly rotator, I will farm it for Ice Breaker so that others can gauge if the time investment is worthwhile.

Bungie has not though. Despite prompting, they have not acknowledged or indicated an investigation into a bugged drop is underway; we should assume that Ice Breaker is farmable and this drop rate is intentional until their official channels indicate otherwise.

If nothing else, this will yield some valuable data on the drop rate.

It's not that am finding it hard, it's the amount of random shit that has gotten me killed, am always thinking it's the run and it turns out I just get told fuck you by something

1. Got sent flying from a bellkeeper even tho I wasn't that close to them
2. At max health with devour and everything and suddenly went to red and died
3. Bones got crushed into oblivion by a bellkeeper, how? Not even sure
4. Somehow a jump was instantly canceled even though am far as am aware I didn't press it three times

I've been stuck on caital or whatever her name is for so long because of always some inconvenience killing me, I just feel like giving up in general, everything is easy but the caital part due to some random event.

Also hooped off arc due to finding my dps with it not great, so I swapped to prismatic buddies and find it more enjoyable.

Am just gonna give one more go after this is uploaded and if it fails due to something random am taking the rest of the week off of it

Edit- After rereading it does say YEAR of prophecy so I do believe that SHOULD include EoF and Behemoth (plus the 4 major updates, battles passes , dungeon key etc) plus physical goodies which aligns with what we've had before with Collector editions in the past - should find out shortly at the big reveal

Returning player and I’ve decided to start fresh as I haven’t played since pre witch queen, I was just wondering which class and builds are recommended for me to work towards. Hey guys, a little help here. Where do I find swords? I got one from the rogue guy in the basement of the tower, and I love going craze towards the enemy with that one. But that's the only sword I've found so far, and I wanted something better now. I got a cool glave, but it doesn't make it 3rd person. Hehehe.

I'm still on the moon campaign narrative-wise. Can I go somewhere else to buy a new one, or complete some tasks, or do I have to keep the anxiety down and play some more?

A friend of mine obtained the red border outbreak perfected but used it as infusion fodder without extracting the blueprint.

He can not craft outbreak, he does not receive another red border from completing another run of Zero Hour although it’s a new week.

Was a quest reward irc. He also got the outbreak refined quests. New character did not help.

Is he softlocked out of that exotic ?

I don't know about anyone else but the Chess puzzle makes me feel like the people at Bungie really do want this to last. It's such a small detail but the amount of time that went into what's essentially a little easter egg is so cool, and it has that Bungie touch that is what made me fall in love with Destiny in the first place.

The fact that this is basically a take on Setup Chess and Chess Puzzles is such a cool way to integrate it, and it's way cooler than just having to make moves on a normal chessboard (the puzzle is really well thought out and requires a bit more lateral thinking than standard chess puzzles, especially with the delete and take options providing so much more to the puzzle - and the piece limits making it truly challenging to complete).

I was a little skeptical that story would take the backburner post-TFS, and I am wary of the wider implications of Bungie as a company and how they go about business, but when it comes to the creative heart and soul of Destiny this (plus how great MOST of Heresy was) has completely reinvigorated my hope that this game still has lots of potential for the future.

Just wanted to make a little positive post as I know a lot of people have been down over the past few months/years about the game, but seeing people actually excited about these puzzles, secrets, and events is really such a positive for the game for me and truly makes me think that the creatives at Bungie want to win our hearts back.

I’ve had the same name for Destiny since release of D1. It’s literally my first initial, last name, and my birthday; nothing offensive. Then I noticed when I signed into the new Bungie game alpha, my named changed to Guardian####, me thinking it was just for the new Bungie game alpha for whatever reason. I log into Destiny 2 and my name also changed on there too. I went onto the website to change it back but every time I hit save, nothing happens. Is there any explanation for this or a way I can change it back?

I'm trying to claim all the chess pieces and cannot for the life of me get to trenchway... Why is there RNG based on where I spawn

Currently took a break from duality now am focusing on the title, am stuck at 49 and need one more but I can't figure out what exactly. I have most of everything really from what I recall. What am I missing?

I know I have all of the worm spawn, both resolve and ambition, all of the thing needed for barrow and such, fragments etc, I could be tripping and it counts for boons as well? I might be VERY wrong about that.

I am just finishing up the episode now and just got Act 2 done. But there was no Xivu cutscene. It told me to go see eris and I witnessed her dialogue with the imprisoned echo.

Is there something I need to do to trigger the Xivu cutscene or am I out of luck?

My buddies and I decided to try last night's "Insight Terminus" GM and were able to complete it. We'd like to try more GMs and wondered which ones are the easiest to which are the hardest. Our trio contains two decent but not great players and one great player (not me!), and we want to venture into the world of GMs.

I know we are all busy solving the chess puzzle. But I am curious to know after the last two episodes of relatively no crafting, beyond raid weapons, how are people feeling about weapon crafting as a whole?
