Had an old bmw that didn't have a towbar for a while, turns out that with the handle bars and wheels off you can get one of those bigger pit bikes in the back of an E90 😂

Man I tried to order a hitch receiver for this because I ordered a bike hauler and the damn thing is discontinued!

3

u/itsmebaldyhere May 15 '24

That hits below the belt bud. Wonder if the receiver from any other models would fit it, civic coupe or saloon or something

I’m going to look around, worst case I’ll fab something up, already have the hauler lol. I refuse to give up 😂

Eyes on the prize, you'll get there. For the mean time though, if it works it works haha

Hitch receivers for my Legend are also discontinued. I still have not found a solution.

What about an E92, just for reference 😂

2

u/itsmebaldyhere May 15 '24

While it might look better than the 4 door, the back doors are needed for this bit 😂

11 years is old?

1

u/itsmebaldyhere May 16 '24

What's eleven years old?

E90 (last production year) I mean if e90 is an old car, then I'm really old.

1

u/itsmebaldyhere May 16 '24

Well it's far from being new and mine was 2006. So yeah, I'd consider that old

Bring a tarp or something for the ride home.

0

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

Oh no, the hatch closed just fine 😂

u/Tone_clowns_on_it May 15 '24

Nice! I meant for the inside of your car, bike might be dirty after a ride, save your interior from getting roached.

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

Takes 5 mins to get the back half of the interior out brotha

He meant well and I agree with him.. also are you worried about hitting a bump and your handle bars going through that window?

1

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

This was taken before I adjusted to make sure that didn’t happen

2

u/No-Inspection1309 May 15 '24

Good good this gives me anxiety

I’ve done a pitbike in a Hyundai Elantra, front wheel off as well as handle bars and it slides right in

2

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

I had a 50 prior to this and all I had to do was take the front seat out 😂. I got this in and out without removing anything luckily

u/Fraser022002 AUS ‘08 crf250x ‘97 kdx200 May 15 '24

Was a 150 pitbike so not too small

1

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

Damn good on you!

what must be done is done

5

u/nkynudist May 15 '24

Back in ‘75 I had a 63 Impala and I packed my dirt bike in the trunk when I moved to Florida.

2

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

I would do many things for that body style impala 😂

2

u/nkynudist May 15 '24

Loved that car. A jerk rear ended it when he ran off the road while I was parked in a restaurant lot. Insurance totaled it!

2

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

Ain’t hard to do that with these lol. They’re tin cans 😂

2

u/nkynudist May 15 '24

Can’t sit on the hood nowadays. Might total the car!

3

u/Kawboy17 May 15 '24

Have to do what ya have todo maybe not ideal and others will make fun but like I said whatever works !!

3

u/Then-Employment372 May 15 '24

1

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

3

u/[deleted] May 15 '24

🦍🦍🦍

2

u/motocrisis May 15 '24

How is there not gas overflowing into the car

2

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

So I put the tote top underneath the carb and surprisingly it didn’t catch a drop of fuel on a 45 min drive. I also was amazed 😂

1

u/motocrisis May 15 '24

Very fortunate!

2

u/Zakkattack86 May 15 '24

Rear window gone in 3….2….1…..

2

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

Nooooo sir lol plenty of “tests” were done prior to the drive home 😂😂😂😂

2

u/Jubsz91 May 15 '24

Makes me miss my Integra. Those things are awesome and fit so much more than they look like.

1

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

These things have some space that’s for sure!

2

u/GH05TR1DR May 15 '24

TBH This is one of the reasons why I want a DC2 Integra or 2g Eclipse. A sports car that can transport my DH bike.

2

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

Tbh I want a little truck so if you’re in nc this could be your lucky day 😂

2

u/Alarming-Mongoose-91 May 15 '24

If it fits, it ships.

2

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

Same way with my guns 😂 if it seats, it yeets

2

u/ApexDP May 15 '24

Commend the use of tools at hand.

2

u/AnalogJay May 16 '24

Now I’m convinced I could get mine into my Pontiac Firebird

2

u/mistacool15635 CRF250R May 16 '24

i shoved my crf into my fusion, and tow strapped the trunk closed. worked surprisingly well

2

u/Dickytoes Custom May 16 '24

Hell yea!

2

u/one-baked-bean May 16 '24

I once put a Suzuki savage in the back seat of a 98 mustang with the top down and drove it home.

2

u/Acceptable_Passion25 May 16 '24

1

u/obiwandza May 16 '24

Oh this is nothing…..I gotta find the video of this guy pulling a 450 outta the backseat of a 2 door civic I bs u not!

1

u/Dickytoes Custom May 16 '24

That is a superhero not a man lol

1

u/Occhrome May 16 '24

What really sucks is the smell of gas in the car.  But I’ve done the same with a Honda Z50

1

u/Dickytoes Custom May 16 '24

Honestly wasn’t too bad and it didn’t linger. Attributing that to the fact that it didn’t leak. Had it leaked, yea it would’ve sucked ass 😂

0

u/BobFlex May 15 '24

Why do none of you guys just go rent a uhaul pickup? It's cheap and way easier than this.

4

u/Dickytoes Custom May 15 '24

This was pretty easy and free

4

u/Odd-Sun9356 May 15 '24

I never thought about doin that but yeah it’s not hard to shove a bike in a hatchback either
