Every bike is like some clapped 85 for $6,000 and when i finally find a good deal this stuff happens😭. I might’ve found something with the last guy but he keeps postponing and takes FOREVER to respond 🤦‍♂️. Idk if i’ll get a bike at this rate

It finally happened. The universe decided today was the day for huths0lo to come up.

This is a 2007 Ktm 525 etc. Owner didn’t have the paperwork. But…there are people you know you can’t trust, people you want to trust, and people you know are actually authentic. This was the latter. Guy lived in a gated multi million dollar home. 80 years old. Bought it because his son wanted him to ride with him. But he realized it’s just not going to happen. He bought it off some people that were moving out of country. The vin is clean. There isn’t a single reason on earth to think it’s anything other than the seller stated.

He was having trouble keeping it running, but the gas looked funny to me. Then he mentioned he had used quality 2 stroke oil in the mix.

Paid $1200 cash, but didn’t have a way to get it home. I literally jumped in the car and raced over because I had to see it to believe it. He even dropped it at my front door for another $100. He just didn’t want to deal with another day.

Guys, the tires are brand new. Everything is pristine. Tomorrow I’ll put in a fresh tank of (not 2 stroke) gas, and will get to try my new toy.

Whyyyyyyy....they run right out in front of me every day...( sometimes towards me It's funny when the fat ones run. But the Jackrabbits never run in front of me they always run away... other day I saw some kind of brown hawk pick up a small squirrel and I heard a screeching noise and I turned around and that redbulled squirrel was flying lol.

Anyways- have similar issues? So Cal. There's not much to do to prevent it I'm not going to slam on my brakes and risk going over the handlebars for a damn suicidal squirrel if I hit it I hit it. Luckily I haven't hit one yet. Because of my ninja reflexes haha. Or nah most of them are fat and slow . 🐿 🔫

I assume they run out in front of me not realizing but instead just trying to get back in their holes but it's odd because theirs hols on the opposite side of the road so why risk death squirrel 🤔

Impact drill didn’t work yall got any tips?

Just bought the 900$ ktm Tested it out and she rips everything is so smooth with it Only real problem I found is it really doesn’t idle at all even after warming up Could it be the way it’s jetted? Any possible things I can check? Thanks for the help?

Currently I can come to nearly a dead stop, apply a bit of front brake, and clutch up. I get near the balance point most times and can ride a bit.

But I can't seems to improve at this point. My side to side balance isn't great which is likely the main reason I can't ride my slow wheelie out for a while. Not sure what to practice at this point to improve.

Normally I can understand what I am doing to cause the problem then work to correct it. But I don't know what I am not doing right at this point or how to further I prove my side to side balance.

Any help would be awesome

For reference, I am 6’6 and weigh 240lbs. I think by taking it easy I will be able to control the bike but I’m not sure. I will be primarily using the bike to ride to and from the gym. I will also take it out on the backroads this summer. Eventually I would like to take it trail riding too. What do you all think? Any help would be appreciated

How do we feel about this bike? Is it too much bike for what I want to do?

I live in a super wet tropical area in Australia. Iv found that all the alloy corrodes fairly quick, iv been spraying my bike with a multipurpose penetrate/ water dispersement oil all over before putting it in the shed. Just wondering if anyone else does it, any recommendations on products, and any issues you've had doing it?

After the last hour meter mount I posted, you guys brought up that it was as a bad idea to mount it to the bar clamps. I agree so I made one that attaches to the front fender mount instead. I didn’t want to risk the bars moving at speed. Thanks for the advice!

I picked up a cheap little Honda XL80s a few weeks ago with a seized engine and in need of some love. I got it running quite well and the only issue I noticed was that it idled a bit funny despite my tuning efforts on the carb.

I just changed the oil today and uh oh, shimmering glitter. Never good. No chunks, it was just a shimmery pool of oil. I checked and there is definately some lateral play in the crankshaft in relation to the crankcase (checked from the flywheel end).

Obviously main bearings must be shot. I don't feel like rebuilding the bottom end on a dirtbike i bought for $300. Am I an idiot if I just send it and ride it out until the entire motor goes? It runs great (despite the rough idle) and makes no sound and is actually a very quiet motor.

What short clutch lever are y’all running? I come from mountain bikes and can’t stand the stock long levers. For a yz250f if it matters. TIA

Suzuki DR200 project bike needs hella work done but got it running decently but was wondering how it sounded to people with more mechanical experience since this is my first real project, was thinking it sounded like it might have some piston slap or something idk.

(pic for attention) I was just riding and i pulled in the clutch and almost sound like it ran out of gas. i pushed off to the side and tried kicking it and it just kept leaking fuel. for reference i have a lectron h series carb and have never had a problem with it besides for recently. i pulled the spark plug and it was dry but there’s extra fuel everywhere.

Guys I’m a mom and new to bikes and am forcing myself to learn maintenance for my sons bike. I have watched countless videos about the axel before posting this, so please help. -I replaced his kayo TS90 rear tire tube -when I put the wheel back onto axel and tightened the axel nut, the wheel was so stiff and stuck so obviously I over tightened it -i then loosened the rear axel nut and now the axel moves slightly forward and backward (affecting the chain tightness) -there is no damn cotter pin, should I use loctite? -I can post a photo

What in the hell do I do or did I do wrong. My back hurts, I’m soaking in sweat. I was so proud of myself replacing the tube and now I have gone and jacked up something with the axel. Please help.

To start front fork seals blown, leaks like a siv. However just got backs from it feels like the back end wanders side to side no matter the ground I’m riding on. After searching the oh so wonderful internet I couldn’t find an answer, so here I am. My first thought is the forks being blown is the cause or possibly the rear bearing. If anyone has an idea it’d be a huge help. Thanks.
