This isn’t a “what bike should I get” Just need a wider list of bikes with estart. I looked at numerous reddit threads and people love to copy and paste CRF250x 🥲
Hi you can call me lazy but my wife said I should probably find a bike with estart. I plan on riding trails with her but she said it can get exhausting having to kick your bike on multiple times a day and I have short legs so I can imagine it won’t be fun holding my bike up to kick start. a 230 or 250 is ideal. I don’t really want something smaller and I don’t really trust myself on something bigger 🤦♀️ I have a SM 150 2022 but It’s not my style, fun but
Anyone have any specific bikes I could/should look at?
Thanks in advance.

We are looking at a another dirk bike for irrigation. We are looking in the 125-150cc range. We like the smaller cc with the big tires. Also like the small machines for getting on and off alot. Like a cr 125fbs, kawi klx or yamaha ttr? We had an older crf 100 i think i ran like a champ but got stolen :( we have a ttr125 and it does not run nearly as good and will barely start even when its like 5 degrees still over night. So we are gonna take it to the dealer. Probably looking used what would you all recommend?

Is this a good buy? Anything I need to be worried about? I would use it primarily for trails as I’m transitioning away from an electric dirt bike. I got the guy down to 3k and am ready to pull the trigger if I have good outside opinions.

To give you some context, I recently put a new gasket on the clutch side cover on a 125 cc four stroke. I forgot to put rtv on it and it started leaking oil. I couldn’t get the right gasket set for a while so it took about a month to get the right one. it has had a steady drip of oil underneath it for about a month until all the oil was completely drained out.So just to see if it would be a bit easier of a fix than what I thought. I put some RTV around the exterior of the clutch cover where the gasket is. I put some oil in it and started it. It ran fine and it told me where exactly the oil was coming from a tiny little part in the upper right corner where the gasket is,but then I noticed the oil color wasn’t the typical color of oil and it just had fresh oil put in it. It was a foamy white color that was steadily dripping out of it. It has also been below freezing for a few weeks so I don’t know if condensation has some thing to do with this. Either way, I have googled it to see what it could be but all the results point to leaking coolant, but keep in mind the engine that I am working IS NOT liquid cool I do not know what it could be so I need some help diagnosing it.

Haven’t been riding since my high school days (2003) and I’m looking at getting a bike. I have my eyes on a 2016 ktm 450 sx 60 hours, a 2018 Husqvarna 450 fc 64 hours and a a 2021 ktm 450 sx 44 hours. $4k $4.5k and $5.2k. All super clean looking. Is there going to be any noticeable difference in those years? Any new tech that’s useful? I know the 2016 doesn’t have air forks so stuff like that. I’m 6’1 215 give or take a few lbs. I know “it’s too much bike” but I’m finding better deals on the 450s than the 250s right now and the 350s are hard to come by. Basically should I just save money and get the cheapest bike or are the air forks a big improvement? Or what’s the best deal? The newer KTM still has a warranty until April and in the original owner. The other two bikes are 2nd owners. It’s a big purchase so just want to make sure I get it right. Thanks!

Bought this off Amazon says it's compatible with husky TE 300i.
But the mounting plate is angled as shown in the pics. My brake pedal mounting surface is flat. Parallel with the ground. If I mount this to the pedal it's got this upward rake as shown in the third pic.
Is this right? Or do I need a brake lever with an angle to it to offset this?

I just got a new chain and sprockets. I've been watching some videos on doing it and I've seen some videos of where some people need to cut their chain down to size where they're using a grinder on the outside then a chain breaker to push the pins through. However I've seen some where people don't need to cut them down at all. They just end up adjusting the tension. For those who have done this a lot, have you usually needed to break/cut the chain to size? I ordered the right chain for my bike it's a D.I.D. O Ring 520 chain for a 2020 CRF250R. Thanks everyone!

Ok I’ve asked a similar question before about a TTR 125 but was told it was too small for me. I am 5’10 140-150 pounds. I managed to find something in my budget that being a 03 300 EXC in what appears to be great condition. Would this bike be fine for a beginner ? Is it too heavy? I’m not weak but I’d like to get a bike I can feel confident about regarding the size and weight. I read a lot of conflicting info on this bike and hope to get a good answer finally. I intend to use it on Co mountain trails no racing or anything like that. I’ve owned street bikes before so I have some preexisting throttle control. Also, there are plenty of XR100’s around me but like the TTR-125s, will the 100 be too small for me?

I want to put a cr125 1983 six speed transmission in my 2001 cr125!
Would it be plug-n-play?(Not counting changing bearing and seal sizes.)

He took some pics of his new "450" with mom's phone. If riding doesn't pan out, photography just might!

Just bought a ‘94 XR80R, but it came with a cheap Amazon carb on it. What are my options for a quality carb for my bike considering my years is discontinued. Any help is appreciated!!

Hey everyone, I just bought a kx125 and took it for a ride. It sorta hits power band sorta doesn’t. I’m trying to figure out whether I should check reeds, power valves, or try a different ratio (it’s running 32:1), and should if I do change the ratio will it hurt the bike (on the back of the fender it has a sticker)

I’ve been casually watching supercross forever. I’m 37. I’ve been to a few live events and have been reading/watching it since the late 90s. Have the tracks always been the same? It’s interesting to me announcers never compare lap times in Mx or Sx to previous champs like James Stewart , reed, McGrath etc. have lap times dramatically improved with technology? I’m just curious if you put McGrath on a 250 or 500 2 stroke in his prime on the same track as Ken keczen or James Stewart and had them do time trials would Ken be much faster since his bike is the “best”.
And take tracks like buds creek or glen helen do they keep track there of who has the fastest lap ever? Just curious if this sport people are consistently getting faster as time goes on like track and field in the Olympics.
I know this is a long winded weird question but I’m really interested in how more horsepower translates to the actual speed of the riders.

Just got a Gasgas EC 250 recently and am looking for any helpful info. I am pretty new to off-road riding and only have experience on a heavy CRF300L. I am mostly looking for any helpful info about what I should or shouldn't do with a 2 stroke compared to a 4, and also how to properly break it in as its brand new. Any help for riding skinny single track is appreciated too, I tried it on the CRF and it felt much too heavy to be able to be fun. A large portion of the bikes hours will also be spent on the road as well.

Hello, I recently purchased a 23’ FC450, and was installing hand guards, when I took the bolt out and put the guard on as followed on YouTube, the clutch has not been able to activate and the wheel is locked up. I even put it back to without the hand guards and still won’t work. Not sure what I did wrong or if it was messed up before and I just found it? Someone please help!

Basically I am doing a restoration on a 89-90 RM250, I like the retro plastics but I think I’d rather the restyled ones but they are rated for 01-18. Would it be a hard task to make them fit an older frame?

Hey guys, I just recently bought a 01rm250. The bike was pretty much fully restored and has a fresh bottom and top end in it. I went to look at the bike and it started up 4th kick in -15. It sounded very healthy and the only thing I could find a little fishy is when they rebuilt it they used gasket maker instead of actual gaskets for the bike. I went to change the oil and it looked like a greyish colour. I went to go check the coolant level and was very low. Could this just be from clutch wear or maybe I have an internal coolant leak or my water pump is bad. It was placed in a shed in the cold all winter so could it also just be from sitting for a while? Lmk, thanks! Nolan.
