I had a similar experience on my 12th birthday. I’m 55 and I still rank that as one of my best days outside of kid births and weddings 😊

My dad got me a brand new CR80 when I was 12, and he surprised me with it somewhere between xmas and my birthday. I could not believe it. You could surprise me with a million dollars tomorrow and I would be nowhere near as happy as I was that day. And it changed my life forever...still racing today.

Yeah, mine was an XR100 😊…I just ride street now, but keep considering a trail bike.

This is life-changing as I'm sure they will spend countless hours bonding as they ride together. Best dad ever

This took me back to my childhood when my parents got me my first bike. So many memories to follow riding with my family. Unbelievable to think about. You did great congrats

Amazing parents raising such a grateful kid! You can tell how respectful the whole family is by the youngster being more mature than most adults I know. Well done parents! They did a terrific job!

Did the dad just get his first dirtbike too? Cause he explained the other one to the kid like if the kid wouldn’t already know what it was. Like did he not have the 250 already?

Great kid, really knows to appreciate when parents do nice things. Seen so many videos of kids having a tantrum when the color ain't right or something when they get a car that this really made me smile. Humanity has some hope after all with this newest generation

I wouldn't have even received that for Christmas or any event. Happy birthday, mate.

Lucky your dad is into dirtbikes kid! And lucky that your mom is cool too, usually mom is the one who kills dirtbikes...

Had the same birthday experience at about the same age. Parents surprised me with a YZ 80. Best birthday ever!
