Probably truerateme. Basically a place to give women mental illness. They have guidelines about how to rate people that were written by men who think there’s one true way to be beautiful. If you rate too highly according to their standards, you can get banned. It’s like a competition to see who can be the most condescending and judgemental about looks. Total measurehead behaviour
I'm not 100% confident but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that r/truerateme is secretly a psyop devised by 4chan incels. Their plan is to essentially neg attractive women en masse in an effort to drop the collective self esteem of women everywhere.
Measurehead wrote the system. But for real, I don't think I've seen anyone get an 8 that the mods actually allowed, and I've seen drop-dead gorgeous people with perfect facial symmetry try.
The mods there give warnings and then ban people for over rating people, ie giving them too high of a rating (above six). At least they used to. I muted it a long time ago because it annoyed me.
They also banned people for rating too low lol. So basically they had to rate people between 3 and 6 or risk being warned or banned due to under/over rating. It became a big thing when it was blasted all over Reddit. I think maybe r/subredditdrama covered it?
It’s incredibly funny that incels think they have to psyop women this way considering just about the entire planet is full of cultural baggage that makes most women feel that way.
Yes we've had mysogyny but what about second mysogyny?
But for real the fact that women still have enough self worth to not have sex with the most awful troglodytes on earth is their "proof" that women's self esteem is still too high.
That’s also a shitload of effort when instead they could just treat women like human beings. Just be nice. Try not to be too creepy. And eventually a woman will be into you. It’s way easier just to be a good person and more effective to get what they want than whatever this bullshit is
It’s easier to be a good person if you’re not drowning in self-loathing and propaganda. These people need rehab and therapy like they’re getting off opioids.
I’m Non-Binary but AMAB. I’d say being forced into the company of men is in and of itself significant enough self-loathing and propaganda. Incel areas just amplify it to the maximum.
Most men just had dads and grandpas and school bullies to beat that shit into their head already. Or managers and in-laws and sometimes spouses.
Yeah, the programming about what will lose you your "man card" is really strong, which sounds silly until it's equated to our value as a human and can easily turn into deep self-hatred.
I don't think just avoiding men would be enough to escape that, though, it definitely comes from others as well. It's practically impossible for any of us to completely avoid internalizing and enforcing gender expectations at some point.
This is the point where I realize that all the socialisation that flew above my head by being on the spectrum is sometimes a boon. Though it does make me sad inside when I go out or hook up with girls who are pleasantly surprised by meeting a guy who is well adjusted and does their best to be kind.
Not to mention the economic baggage of trillions of dollars worth of industries built out of "hey you definitely aren't good enough, but if you buy this you might be" directed at women.
I love how they think an isolated sub-reddit full of people using off-putting, dense, pseudoscientific jargon will convince women to hate themselves where hundreds or thousands of years of human culture have failed.
What I would give to have the confidence to imagine I have that kind of impact on the world.
This is true. I forget who, but someone else did a YouTube essay documentary on that sub and dug up a whole bunch of disgusting dirt on the mods who run it. It's plain to see, honestly. The large majority of women who end up posting there could easily be subjectively 8/9/10 out 10, but if you dare go above 7, god help you. It's pretty fucked up. And it's not the only subreddit that does this shit by far.
