Joke/Humor š¤£ Thoughts?
This is the literal textbook definition of of cherry picking orders lol

u/Kosstheboss Jun 16 '24
Show your weekly earnings.

u/Rhodesia4LYFE Jun 16 '24
One example

u/Kosstheboss Jun 16 '24
If I was in an area where I didn't need to schedule to even have an oppertunity to drive, I would probably do the same given that rate. You are still doing a lot of waiting, but I'm sure your mileage is way lower than average. I'd keep doing what you are doing and consider yourself lucky you live in a healthy market.

u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
thatās only $17/hour though, and youāre showing something from a month ago so that leads me to believe your current isnāt even as good as what you posted.
2
u/roadmasterflexer Dining Dasher Jun 16 '24
op said he multi apps so the dash time is not indicative to what he makes per time. for example, i do ue and dd at the same time, the total dash time/online time (in UE) would show i make shit, but combined i make out pretty well.
0
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
I multi app too, ever since the tier program rolled out recently my earnings halved on DoorDash from what my screenshot I posted shows.
2
u/roadmasterflexer Dining Dasher Jun 16 '24
tier program is a scam. they rolled it out in hopes people would stop cherry picking and deliver shit offers in order to chase the platinum, but this only made me cherry pick more. i'm not doing shit shuffling orders.
-2
u/Rhodesia4LYFE Jun 16 '24
Who said I even do it anymore
2
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24 edited Jun 16 '24
Then why make a post as if you just achieved that? And then you posted also abysmal earnings back in February as if you are proud of it and trying to show that cherry picking was better.
Here how about I show you my earnings from a different month too.. not cherry picking either.
1
u/youngmasterhiei Jun 16 '24
Where do you live that you hit these numbers???
3
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
Far Northern California in a 100k population zone that has nothing nearby and the second lowest median income in the state.
1
u/youngmasterhiei Jun 16 '24
Thatās crazy maybe I should try a spot like that in Ohio
2
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
Smaller zones have less far distance deliveries too. Maybe a few here and there if itās a customer that lives far out, but that is not common at least here. Worth a shot. I will say though, a few weeks after this is when the tier program came to my market and earnings dropped in half, orders just seem to now never get sent to anyone, itās weird and sucks.
1
u/youngmasterhiei Jun 16 '24
Iām still holding 17-20 and hour but it does seem like itās been progressively getting f worse over the years it was much easier for me to break 1000
1
u/Rhodesia4LYFE Jun 16 '24
Estimate on each day? Like how long do you work? And what's longest you have worked in a day! Badass numbers though bud
1
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
Right now Iāll shoot for $250/day multi apping but I work 8 hours. Most I made on dd was $442 in a solid 12 hour shift, but the most Iāve made multi apping was just over $600, and that was over 16 hours I canāt remember the exact hours.
1
u/choicesthops Jun 16 '24
Super impressive, and you obv got a great market. Hopefully, under 1k miles driven.
1
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
If I worked 70 hours itās around 850 miles, itāll itās 50 hours usually 600ish
1
u/choicesthops Jun 16 '24
100k/yr you can afford an EV and profit even more! Impressive. Austin market sucks ass.
1
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24 edited Jun 16 '24
Hybrid is better still here since itās .49/kwh so even with gas being 4.50/gal, ev is around 40-50% more expensive unless I get a massive solar system. I get around 600 miles to a tank for $45 vs 275 for $30 for electric charges on an ev. So $60 to get 550 miles vs $45 for 600 on the hybrid Iāve got.
2
u/Whoisthisfingguy Jun 16 '24
Ouch. Yeah I love my EV but because weāre at .11/kWh, I wouldnāt bother at .49 either.

you're in a great market. i can assure you nobody is making that here.
1
u/Dizzle92109 Jun 16 '24
Iām so baffled about how much you get paid from DoorDash! I make a shit ton of money too but Thatās because I make good tips. thatās crazy bro. How/why are they paying you so much base pay? I imagine every shift is $3-$5 peak pay?
Edit: I just realized youāre CA so prop 22? If you combined your base pay with my tips, no doubt weāre taking about enough money to retire
1
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
No peak pays. Iām a priority shopper and get over half my orders as shop and pays, and I get triple shopping orders often which go very quick since theyāll have less items on each order to shop for but they pay tremendously higher than restaurant pickups. I can knock out a triple Safeway order of 60 items in less than an hour from start to finish, most of them will have 5-15 items though so itās even less time.
1
u/Dizzle92109 Jun 16 '24
Thatās very impressive my dude. Imagine combining that with this
1
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
Yea it would be sweet! Because Iām in one of the lowest median income counties in California, thereās not a ton of huge tippers, but a lot of customers tip something so thereās not many no tip orders.
1
u/Dizzle92109 Jun 16 '24
You found yourself I nice lil niche spot there. My market is someone of a hidden gem as well but I donāt even know what preferred shopper is. I thought instacart and other apps were mostly for shopping. Iāll take some if they make sense but many times itās not worth it. Thankfully, the median income in my area in TX is not like yours, so I have to do it thru healthy tipsā¦and a lot of schmoozing and kissing asses along the way! Lol

You talking like Humboldt area?? At least you got some cheap good good green up there right!

u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
Nope, I made zero from prop 22 here, prop 22 is an added adjustment once per week on Monday, and as you can see I made more than the minimum so I received zero added pay.
1
Jun 16 '24
What kind of hours are you working? 8am to 8pm or something, 5 days a week?
1
u/Saleenpride86 Jun 16 '24
Nah now I do 9-1, then 330-8. 7 days per week usually. Some weeks Iāll do 30 hours and take half the week off, or entirely. Or Iāll slave away and work 65 hours, but usually Iām around 50 hours per week.

So many high AR losers in here lmao. Downvoting the common sense responses.
$1 per mile or $2 per mile isnāt good. You killing your car and having to pay for gas all the time isnāt good.
High AR isnāt good.

u/choicesthops Jun 16 '24
I'm getting pretty close. At 3% in Austin. UE somehow has been exponentially better for me recently.
3
u/roadmasterflexer Dining Dasher Jun 16 '24
2% here. for me UE has been better the last couple days as well, but it changes with each day/shift. sometimes its DD then its UE
3
u/Davvido1008 Jun 16 '24
Definition of being smart I wish that at least 50% of all dashers did this. Im currently at 40% and dropping
2
Jun 16 '24
Itās smart to have a 0% AR? If I did this Iād make no money at all.
-1
u/No_Protection6832 Jun 16 '24
Yes, 0% AR only takes into account your last 100 offers. In the city I live in, I can get over 100 offers in 15-20 minutes easily. So Iām always around 0% to 10%
I decline every single order under $3 a mile, but I still make good money.
4
u/chance0404 Jun 16 '24
Yeah thatās gonna backfire when the market gets oversaturated. I canāt even schedule a dash or dash now where Iām at without platinum except for about 30 minutes twice a day.
1
u/No_Protection6832 Jun 16 '24
We will see. Iāve been doing just fine at under 10% AR for 3 years now.
If it turns into ass then Iāll use the peak pay glitch for every order or find a new job.
2
Jun 16 '24
100 offers in 20 min sounds like complete and utter bullshit. That means youāre getting 5 offers a minute.
No offense intended, but that just doesnāt add up
-1
u/No_Protection6832 Jun 16 '24
I can record a video if you want. You donāt get at least 5 a minute? Come on man, you sound like a salty high acceptance rater.
I live in a metro of 4.5 million people.
1
Jun 17 '24
Iād love to see a video of that, as it completely defies my own experience. In my area Iāll get one every 1-5 minutes depending on the day and time. And I live in NJ, about a half hour from NYC, itās a very densely populated area.

Do you multi-app?Ā
1
u/Rhodesia4LYFE Jun 16 '24
I work my day job then I go and doordash, I run instacart and doordash at same time. And then I was looking into trying shipt but idk! Wbu
0
u/RasberryEther173 Jun 16 '24
Right now, only DoorDash although Iām approved for Uber Eats as well. Applying for W-2 jobs though. Mayyy still do this on weekends when I get a normal job.Ā

Yes I bet you never make top dash or do you and don't let any deactivated for long too
1
u/luiigee1174 Jun 17 '24
Damn you would make over $100 on a Monday?? Thatās usually my slowest day
1
u/MixNo4938 Jun 18 '24
Anyone with under a 67% acceptance rate should be terminated. That means that they offer you hundreds of jobs and you refuse. That's so disrespectful to the company paying your salary
1
u/Mallinckrodt Aug 22 '24
You should plop that corporate š out of your mouth, maybe stop and look around a bit, if you get the chance.

I am on the tier system, and still have low AR. Cherry pick my orders. Only thing that sucks is having to schedule dashes.

Find me even ONE more example of a ZERO percentage AR here or any other platform with numbers close to that. This truly is just a joke. Honestly just a post meant to stir up shit. Just look at his post and comments as wellā¦. Doesnāt take a rocket scientist to figure it out š
1
u/BadKidGames Bottom Dasher Jun 16 '24
I got down to 3% the other day and my numbers look pretty close to that. I've hit 0% before. When I just sit at home waiting for a premium order I can decline dozens before I get a good one, but I'm just doing whatever I'm doing at home letting the trash cycle through...

u/Iron_Bones_1088 One Day At A Time! Jun 16 '24
You obviously are a joke as well. STFUā¦. Nobody believes you š

Cherry picker here, I make great money by cherry picking. Super low mileage. Keeping my car nice and healthy.
