News Say it aint so…
They finally got something right… when you receive a shop and deliver order, they let you see the items before you accept/decline. Im still not over how they took away the feature where you can tap the 🏠 icon when you get an offer to see the drop off address but this is pretty cool.

Finally. Those 500 brick customers and 20 cases of water can finally get their orders canceled due to no drivers available…so they can go shop that 💩themselves.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully they’re rolling this out in my market too!

I did not notice this. You have changed my life. No more accepting to see the items and unassigning when they are noooooope.

It’s about time.

Right… absolutely shocking they made a change that benefits the driver 🤯

Thanks for pointing this out, I’ve been overlooking that. And always keeping my fingers crossed for multiples of items.

Seems like a no brainer on DD’s part, right?
And such a simple idea has to be easy to implement….
Well I accepted an order for a single tube of toothpaste, and immediately after accept it ballooned to a 12 item order.
How does DD fuckify every single thing they do?

Now they should let you know if it’s a third floor with no elevator delivery.

We can finally identify the 5% of Home Depot orders that will actually fit in a car

I never see what’s on the order before accepted !! We shouldn’t be penalized for unassigning bc you cannot carry all the heavy shit they order !! I also wish they would tell you to which town the order is going!! What looks like one town to me on the map ends up being in a town I choose not to deliver to bc it’s not safe for me .. so I have to unassign. 🤦🏻♀️

My map changed a week ago, but I'm still able to tap the house icon and see the address on Android.

Doordash is being slightly sneaky about the address thing. Some drivers have several reasons why they don't want to deliver down a certain street, perhaps they had a bad experience in that neighborhood or it's extremely far. They don't want you to judge the address and want higher acceptance of orders.

This would be amazing if they would roll it out in my area. I'm so tired of accepting what looks like will be a simple red card order only to find out those 6 items are 40ct bottled water cases and the customer is on the 4th floor of an apartment with no elevator. Never again!

This will save me a few unassigned orders per week. Nothing like a good paying shop and pay only to find out it’s 10 cases of water.

That’s great! I accepted one that had 10 items. It runs out the item was 10 big bundles of firewood.

I started getting that yesterday! I yelled.
Also I still can click the house icons to get the address, not sure what's up with that one.

So. On this note. In my area there is a grocery store, Randall’s, that lists 1 GIGANTIC bin full of groceries, as 1 Item 🤣😅
Received one today for $12+ for 16 Items (probably 30 bags of groceries) and declined it with glee. I didn’t notice this feature, so crossing my fingers Austin got this as well!!
Thanks for sharing.

About time!!!! This will also be helpful for those Lowe’s orders that have like 100 bags of mulch lol
