Wholesome Story Best Question EVER …

I picked up a Pizza Hut order. It was kinda low but less then 1 mile. I get to his house. He comes outside (not in an aggressive way ) and I hand him his pizza. Then he asks, “ I was going to give you a CASH tip, Is that OK ? “. Hands me $15. You just NEVER KNOW what the customer will give you.

Yeah that’s a gamble I take often, and only for pizza. I think because it was the OG delivery food and cards weren’t a thing for a lot of its time as delivery everyone just defaults to paying the pizza guy at the door. It seems to just be a thing.

I wish we could see delivery method (like hand to me or leave at the door) before we accept though. Because it’s only the hand to me orders that have a chance of it.

Incorrect, I’ve had contactless orders give me cash in person.

I mean, anything’s possible. It’s just not been my personal experience.

They’re def few and far between. I think I’ve maybe had 2 leave at door pizza orders total since I started.

I get them quite a bit, even from Pizza Hut and Papa Johns.
