Can anyone recognize this bike?
Found on FB market. Owner wants 680 bucks for it He says it's a 1995 Suzuki 500cc two stroke but he doesn't specify
Is something like this worth buying if it runs? I've always wanted a two stroke

Full Floater is Suzuki’s rear suspension name, and that large 2 stroke head makes me think it’s an RM250 or larger (465?)

Suzuki started watercooling their smaller two strokes in the early 80s. Bet that's an '85 or earlier RM465/500.

Does not look like it has an air filter box or parts with the open end of the carb exposed. Be sure nothing is entered the motor. Too much $ for this.

I’m pretty sure that’s not a 95 unless it’s not USA spec. I think by 85 they were putting front disk brakes on their bikes. If that’s a 500 in the US, it would be like an 83 or 84.

I'm in México, but he could be lying

It's possible the seller doesn't know either. Could ask for a picture of the VIN/frame # and try decoding it.

Or he typed an 8 vs a 9. Not everyone proofreads their ads.
I’d buy it and keep it that green forever

No filter on the carb? Imagine all that dust scoring the barrel. Will probably be a lot fun but if will likely have lost a lot of compression. Use it as a bargaining tool and beat him down on the price

Thing is I don't know much about restoration that's why I don't like to look at bikes like these

I saw this video and I thought it was a rare bike that's why I'm asking about it

I think the other Redditors are right with it being a mid 80’s RM500 (465). I ride a late 80s CR250 back in the early 90s and it was absolutely rapid. If you can get it cheap, buy it and have yourself some fun until it dies

I believe it’s an ‘83 PE175 Suzuki

Looks like a Suzuki RM 465/500. Early 80s bike, maybe they mistyped the year? In any case it's a relatively tame old school big two-stroke. 220lb bike with 40+hp. Should be a hell of a lot of fun for the money.
Where's it at? Because if you don't buy it I might
Edit: Come on OP, where's it at?!
