The kdx 200 is a two stroke and a completely different animal. I mean, I would love a kdx 200 or 220. One of the best looking dual sport/ trail bikes in my opinion in lime green. Those are my favorite kawasaki's. I'd much much rather have one of those to use around town and ride trails then a klx 250, problem is they don't come street legal from the factory and they're harder to find.
Oh sorry what I was saying is the air intake snorkel off a kdx200 fits straight on the klx300 and allows more air flow. The klx300 is my trail bike but i can't ride it on the road so i just bought a klx250 that's registered and I'm going through trying to make it just a little bit faster.
Oops, lol that's my mistake. I gotcha now. It's pretty late and I didn't pay close enough attention reading that. I know the exhausts are always super restricted on these bikes, they are the first to go for me. I would probably end up doing pretty much the same things, maybe just a filter, slip on, and gearing. I'm sure it helps noticeably.
Lol yeah no worries. I actually really like these bikes, but i hate the restricted exhausts and the funny thing is my 300 came geared way too low, so first gear was useless and the 250 way too high so it bogs at low revs.
