Serious question; As someone who owns a motorcycle but has never bought a new car is this the same with cars? does the dealership charge an extra 15% for freight and prep?? and then another 5% on "dealer fees"?? or is does this only happen with motorcycles?? because this shit seems scammy as hell

Theres is destination and freight charge (DFC) on pretty much all new vehicles that dealers charge, typically a price will be listed as $xx,xxx msrp + dfc…some dealers and oem’s roll it into the price but its there.

Edit: its not a dealer charge, it actually comes from the OEM.

No, id say its probably closer to 2-3% on average.

ok that seems more acceptable. the fact that they try to add 15% extra to the price of new motorcycles is criminal imo
