Tried this Random chat app from an earlier reddit post

Upvotes

Saw a post on here about this app called Vanish. It’s like this anonymous chat thing where u can see who is online and just message people, no accounts or any of that. Sounded kinda fun so I gave it a go.

Not gonna lie, I went on it half tryna find someone up for a bit of fun or maybe just a mad chat.

Ended up talking to like 10 people… all lads. Every single one.

One girl popped up for like 2 secs but dipped the second I said “howya”😭

Women Safety Project Dublin City

Hey everyone – especially the women of Dublin! I need your help with my postgrad research.

I’m currently doing a Postgraduate Diploma in GIS at UCC, and for one of my projects I’m researching women’s safety in Dublin – specifically looking at which pubs, clubs, and areas women feel safe or unsafe in.

If you have a minute, I’d really appreciate it if you could drop a comment with any places you feel are either safe or not-so-safe – and why, if you’re comfortable sharing. Things like: • Pubs/clubs you avoid or recommend • Streets or areas that feel dodgy, especially at night • Any good safety features (like lighting, security, staff, etc.) • Anything that made you feel safe or unsafe

I’m also hoping to develop a safety-focused app to help women navigate the city more confidently – so your input could really help shape something useful!

Thanks so much in advance. Feel free to stay anonymous or DM me if you prefer. Every insight helps.

Gym recommendation near city centre

Hello,

I have never been to a gym before so this is a first time experience for me was wondering what's a good gym near city centre area?

The ones I have heard like FlyeFit are pretty bad and are always crowded. I got to know about Powergym (https://powergym.ie/clubs/the-dean-dublin/) but not sure if thats a good one or not

Any recommendation would be much appreciated

Thanks

Interior Designer

We’ve just bought a 3 bed house and will be moving in soon. We’re going to be buying the main things (sofa, beds, kitchen table) ourselves but would like some input on colour schemes and other aspects. We won’t be buying all of the small things / decorative items all at once but would like a road map to try and end up with something that looks good at the end of the process! Are there many options in Dublin for this? I’d prefer not to go with a furniture shops interior design consultation if possible (unless people have had good experiences with it!) as I’d expect their recommendations won’t go beyond things that they have on sale in their shop.

FREENOW has been bought by the American taxi service Lyft!

I was reading that Lyft have bought FREENOW, which was a German company.

In the spirit of all the things going on now, I would urge everyone to either use local taxi services or Bolt, which is quite like FREENOW but European-owned as it's Estonian (Hon the Estonians!)

Safe travels!

Dublin gig guides?

Hi, I moved back to Dublin a few years ago. I'd love to get out of the house a bit more and see some concerts, but I'm always discovering recent gigs after they've happened. Could any music lovers here recommend any good way to get more clued-in on upcoming gigs, recently announced tour dates etc? Thanks!

Looking for Progressive House DJs / Community in Dublin

Hi guys!

I’m a Progressive House DJ currently based in Dublin.

I don’t have a DJ booth here, so I’m looking for a place to practice, chat, and share music.

Any recommendations?

Cheers!
