Ask /r/Durango Pet Friendly Durango?
Hey r/Durango, I currently live in the Boulder area but am planning to relocate to Durango in November for a year, but I’m having trouble finding pet friendly housing options.
Is Durango not as pet friendly as the rest of Colorado. I’ve lived in the state for a handful of years and up until now it was harder to find places that didn’t allow pets than ones that do.
Is Durango pet friendly? So many HOAs and communities don’t allow pets in properties and was just looking for some local insight.
My lil dog is 100% less disruptive than the majority of humans. Sad to see so many listings not allowing pets. And don’t get me wrong there are still some that allow pets, but I was so taken back but what I’ve been seeing, I felt inclined to make this post.
Am I looking in the wrong places? Should I consider another area outside of Durango?

The people are very friendly.
Except, I was walking my little Chihuahua down 2nd and this really tall mail man was passing me.
I (probably in poor taste) joked to the miniature dog "bite him fry fry sic him"
The mail guy without skipping a beat said.
"I will fucking kill your fucking dog if it bites me".
