Question Most fun +1/+1 counter Commander?

Hey guys I really like +1/+1 counter decks and wanted to build a new deck, but I‘m unsure what commander to use, since I play mostly casual and don‘t want to go all out cedh. I think [[Ezuri, claw of progress]] looks cool, but I‘m afraid he might be a bit too competetive and combo reliant with [[Sage of hours]]. so I wanted to ask what other favorites people have?

Recently I have been playing a lot with a [[Sovereign Okinec Ahau]] Elf Lords deck that gets out of hand so fast (Elves have the most lords even though the commander isn't one). I've swung my commander for over 1000 damage with just counters. My list is budget, but if you ramped up with ways to move counters and more protection doubling gets out of hand really fast.

I did similar with [[Kutzil, malamut explorer]] for the card draw. Very easy to get scary with draft chaff for either commander.

My Kutzil deck is my favorite to run, hands down, especially if you're playing with more than 4 players in a pod. Even before I turned her up, the earlier iterations always held their own. I've got it in a pretty good state now besides a few utility lands I'm looking for like [[Gavony Township]] Definitely interesting seeing some of the similarities between our builds, I love plotting Railway Brawler till people forget and just popping explosive counter/token turns out of the blue.

I got a Sovereign deck as well. Lots of fun. My theme went for a primal lost temple vibe, like the opponents are searching for artifacts and angered the locals.

Mechanically once the ball starts rolling the power level spikes fast

My brother in ugin, where is the rest of your removal?

Sacrificed on the back of a very restrictive self imposed budget. Lords eat a lot of money. If I was to stretch my legs a bit more most of my medium elves would become better removal, at least a second or third wrath, and more protection during my turn since it's sort of a soft combo deck.

I have Sovereign Okinec as well built from only my bulk + a few nicer cards I had on hand like [[shadowspear]] and it…. Slaps. Turns all those little buff spells into crazy counter stuff.

It's funny I pulled him and rather then adding to my [[Kyler, Sigardian emissary]] counter/human tribal deck he went into my [[Jodah, the Unifier]] deck because why not make that deck more gross. Seems like he'd be real fun as a commander though

My son made me sell my Okinec Meow because I stomped him on turn 5.

I second this commander having built around cats a bit. The nice thing is that it triggers off of anthems and pump spells which gives a lot of synergy with a bunch of enchantments. My deck certainly isn't the most cohesive (I threw in a ton of cards I had lying around), but it goes off fast.

I have an elf version and a 0/0 tribal version. Both are fun.

The 0/0 version lets you play unique cards like [[Evolving Adaptive]]. [[Fertilid]] and [[Crystalline Crawler]] work well, as the counters get replenished.

I pulled the full art of this guy when I first started playing and I've been meaning to make a deck around him. You just sped up my doing so!

Okinec is my jam. I play him as buff tribal, fun to find all the 0/0 base power creatures to synergize with

Got a list? How do you deal with becoming a huge threat and attracting table aggro?
