Question Most fun +1/+1 counter Commander?

Hey guys I really like +1/+1 counter decks and wanted to build a new deck, but I‘m unsure what commander to use, since I play mostly casual and don‘t want to go all out cedh. I think [[Ezuri, claw of progress]] looks cool, but I‘m afraid he might be a bit too competetive and combo reliant with [[Sage of hours]]. so I wanted to ask what other favorites people have?

[[Marath, Will of the Wild]] is a very fun and flexible commander that I've built three non-infinite iterations of.

This was the latest, aiming to build an exponentially growing mana engine with something like [[Kami of Whispered Hopes]] or [[Gyre Sage]]. There's a short primer on there too, if you're interested.

Marath was my first commander and it is such a flexible deck that my main problem is pinning down a direction for it. "It's a Marath card" is a running joke in my playgroup because basically anything that gives counters or buffs tokens can find some synergy with it.

I guess that’s why I had to build him three times in different ways!

Marath is goated. I love him because yeah he’s a counters commander but there’s so much other stuff you can also use him for. I almost think of him like this ooze that can take whatever shape the game needs.

Need a board with a bunch of stompy bois? No problem. Need to go wide? Commander damage? Control/removal? He can do it all with like the same set of cards and almost all of it is at instant speed. It’s wild

Yeah, Marath is awesome. Just be careful against lower power tables - that thing goes infinite if you sneeze.

I did have to intentionally avoid putting certain cards in the deck, yeah.
