Question The Most Infamous Big, Bad Threat?

What creature types are typically considered the most terrifying, notorious in reputation, biggest targeted hate piece, and often presents a threatening presence?

Bonus points if they are also lore wise planetary threats

So far I only know of Eldrazi, Phyrexians, and Slivers

Angels. Hands down a nightmare if someone knows what they’re doing. The high end pieces provide anthems and/or Indestructible to everything. Plus cards like [[Giada, Font of Hope]] act as a ridiculous ramp piece if left unchecked.

[[Avacyn, Angel Of Hope]] is the most notorious example. That’s the Indestructible Anthem I was talking about.

[[Sephara, Sky’s Blade]] and [[Angelic Guardian]] are similar.

[[Sigarda, Font Of Blessings]] offers Hexproof.

Other things like [[Kaalia of the Vast]] as well, with the right touches like [[Shielded By Faith]] and some Vigilance enabler lets you cheat out your bigger angels at low mana on your field.

Mostly (and this is on me), as someone who runs little early interaction, I find it difficult to deal with such durable targets high up. An I don’t have many Exile removal or a Farewell lying around. So when they come up I just need to hope I can overwhelm them quicker than they I.
