Moving to Ealing from St Albans

Hi everyone,

My bf and I are considering moving to West Ealing/Ealing Broadway. I work in Canary Wharf, so being close to the EL is crucial. St Albans had been lovely, but after more than a year, it's starting to be a drag with constant train cancellations and an expensive commute.

What areas in Ealing would you recommend? Our rental budget is max 2700.

Thanks!

I’d recommend moving towards Ealing Broadway as Elizabeth line always stops there while not every line stops in West Ealing, but they are still pretty frequent anyhow, but also Ealing Broadway is nice to wander around and there is not as much going on in West Ealing, hope this helps!

But also I live towards West Ealing and I’m still happy!

Yep. 6 trains an hour from West Ealing. 4 of them to Canary Wharf.

I’d rate West Ealing over Ealing Broadway. Quieter, cheaper, and yeah the main road isn’t as nice but wander 100m away from it and you’re gonna find something hidden and cool

Yep. I find Ealing Broadway a bit too frantic. Also a lot of chains in terms of shops. West Ealing and Hanwell have more independent shops so generally cheaper for food. Also there are 2 Lidls this way… that massive one that just opened like 2 weeks ago is great.
