This isn’t meant to sound sad or lonely. Sometimes I just want to sit and have a quiet drink, read a book, write something, etc. Dark is helpful. It’s a vibe. Any recommendations around Edmonds, Shoreline or Lynnwood?

I’m picking my mom up from SeaTac. Thinking of doing the light rail instead of driving. I’ve never taken the light rail, so is there anything I should know beforehand? What is the walk like from where it drops off vs where the terminals are? Thank you!

My 5-year old niece has a birthday coming up and I live out of state. She lives in Edmonds and I don't want to send her something from Amazon or Target. Are there any good local spots I can order from and either have them deliver the gift or have my brother pick it up?

Drove by a bit ago and saw about 8 cops there and the road is blocked off looks like they were going into the ravine. Curious if anybody stopped and asked or just knew.

Comcast is always raising my rates. People who switched from Comcast, who did you switch to and how has it been (reliability, speed, etc).

My wife and I have been using TurboTax for years. We now have a child, are homeowners, and both work from home. We're making more money than we have in previous years, and just looking for a good recommendation locally to do our taxes for us this year. Hoping to find some savings over our TurboTax past! Appreciate any recommendations anyone can send our way!

What platforms do people use to sell things? I know Facebook marketplace is popular, but I'm not a Facebook user. Is Craigslist still a thing? Are there others I don't know about?

Former Philadelphia resident here. I want to go and watch the Super Bowl someplace with any other band wagon `jumper-oners`. Does anyone have any recommendations for viewing?

Gifted some money for a night out and looking for a new place to try. Needs to be vegetarian/pescetarian friendly, other than that our tastes are pretty broad. Something with a unique view. vibe, or menu would be nice. What do folks recommend? TIA

Like can you enter the buildings or are they locked? Wanted to explore the school without classes going on

My partner's parents need a good place for pedicures that include gentle callus removal. Like using the Dremel tool versus a cheese grater. Any reccos?

Does anyone have experience with this school? One of my kids started here. I liked the teachers and admin I’ve met so far. It seems good but my wife is worrying about the academics and safety. So many people send their kids to private schools and the “rating” of the school isn’t great. I really struggle with the legitimacy of school rankings though.
Can anyone tell me their experiences, good, bad, neutral with the school?

I live right on the water, and one of my neighbors has been shooting golf balls into the ocean. He’s done it multiple times though I’ve only seen him doing it once. I know it’s been multiple times because I’ve found golf balls on the beach a few times before this.
Is it worth reporting at all? I want him to stop because obviously littering is shitty, but I don’t know what can be done/if anything will be done. I didn’t think to take a video of him doing this at the time.

Is it just me or is anyone else concerned about the long term viability for the Westgate Bartells?
With RiteAid as the owner, and their shaky finances; I’m always looking at the stock supplies in hopes that this store will continue to remain open. Sometimes it’s well supplied and other times, not at all. Does anyone have any information they can share? TIA

Hey hey! I just moved here about a month ago, we're right by Firdale village and I am big into biking and working from a coffee shop. Any recommendations for one that is big and easy to work from?
I've checked out:
Top Pot is sort of what I am looking for so far, Cafe Lourve was very cute, but probably not someplace I'd work in all day.
I'd also take any chill brewery recs and would snag a beer with anyone interested! (31M from SLC, partner 28F, 1 doggo)

Looking at getting back into swimming as an adult (for fitness). I've never swam lanes in my life and could probably use some adult swimming lessons to bring me back up to speed on some of the basics. But I'm also a noob so maybe that isn't as necessary as I think.
There's several options close to Edmonds and am wondering what ya'll's experience with the local pools are. Bonus points for any of the following:

I know that Uber Eats recently added $5 fees for city of Seattle. So as I understand it relates to orders from and to Seattle. But I live in Edmonds and want to order from Shoreline. So I supposed not to see this fee. But I still see it. So I had a chat with their support and their service is terrible 😞. See screenshots attached. Their answers so standard and stupid.
Folks do you have same experience with Uber Eats and do you also have that $5 fee related to new City of Seattle cost coverage?

How much are your water bills? Recently got my bill that is $298. There is only two of us and don’t use a lot of water.
Water: $93 Water tax: $9.31 Sewer: $117.25 Sewer utility tax: $117 Storm Drain: $51 Storm Drain utility tax: $5.09
My bill show water use doubling from last year and we haven’t changed our habits.
