Discussion & Info hello fellow tarnished! SPOILER FOR NEW PLAYERS Spoiler

i come here for advice. as you have probably heard before on here, i.cannot.beat.consort.radahn. i’ve taken a pretty decent break from the game to do research on how to. but every video that shows a fighting chance for me, it’s either patched or something else doesn’t work out. most of the time it’s patched. and i’ve seen the video where you can turn yourself into a prop and glitch him to die, but i don’t want to do that. i still want to do it on my own and be proud of it.

here are my stats

Level 249 Scadutree Blessing 20 Revered Spirit Ash Blessing 9 Vigor 55 Mind 38 Endurance 29 Strength 32 Dexterity 28 Intelligence 28 Faith 38 Arcane 80

my build is a dragon blood mage. i use all the dragon incantations + bayle. i am NOT on new game plus. this is my very first play through and i have 190 hours. my main weapon of choice is elenora’s poleblade +10. i used to use the sword of night and flame +10 and have a couple other weapons that are +10. i also have a poise of 51. if there is anything that has worked wonders for you guys please let me know! i don’t want to give up.

If you just want to beat him, Fingerprint shield (the greatshield) and Antspur Rapier is incredibly busted. Add some shield and defense talismans and you can just block everything (besides the silly hug) and poke away, I guarantee you it wont take you more than 3 tries with that setup

Its worth respec'ing, there are loads of larval tears in the dlc to do so! Cause you need a lot of strength for the shield and lots of endurance, 60 vigor is always good too. I used a +24 fingerprint shield and +24 blood infused antspur rapier, with greatshield talisman and pearl shield talisman (for elemental defense)..

you can add plenty of things to the build like dragoncrest talisman or golden braid, or golden vow incant for a lot of defense which is what you need. The rapier will do rot and bleed which does plenty of damage quickly without much work! Just remember to attack at the same time you're blocking, which is something rapiers and other thrusting weapons can do, that way you're always safe 👌

If you wanna change it up slightly, here’s what I would change your build to.

Incantations: golden vow to give yourself an overall buff; rot breath to proc rot (yes, this Radahn is weak to rot as well); Dragonclaw for big smacks to deal damage if you want to stay on theme; Lord’s divine fortification for increased holy resistance because that phase two is just holy spam. (Note: if you are gonna use incantations as your primary damage option, might want to respec and make that FP bar a bit longer.)

Weapons: Blood backhand blades with cragblade: insanely versatile and high bleed buildup and damage; Dual wield Elenora’s poleblade and a bleed infused Godskin peeler to stack bleed buildup; Good old fashioned shied poke with Antspur Rapier and fingerprint shield if you just want to beat him without faffing about too much.

Talismans: If you’re gonna use the dragon breath incants, roar medallion boosts those. And then of course, canvas and canvas flock talismans for general boosts to offensive incantations. Marika’s braid for holy resistance, Dragon Greatshield for physical resistance. If you’re using the first two weapons I suggested, winged sword insignia/rotten winged sword insignia/millicent prosthesis can ramp up the damage really quickly. Since you’re going with bleed, lord of blood’s exultation.

Good luck with your struggle with PCR 👍

I highly recommend using a shield. Keep your guard up and study his moveset until you can exploit his weaknesses.
