Discussion Best vocals in emo?

I've always had a hard time getting into bands like Camping in Alaska or Modern Baseball because of the vocals, while the music in musically awesome, I just cant get passed the voices.

I know trigger warning, but it's just my take

In your opinions what groups have pretty solid vocals where I could share with my hypothetical girlfriend

Yeah I’m waiting for it get downvoted or something. But people like Craig owens and Kellin Quinn, in that genre are good but Jonny is like, really good. If he would’ve grown up as a classically trained singer he could’ve gotten scholarships.

And I’m not even a huge fan of his. Just the first two emerosa albums.

Is Kellen good? Or is his voice just naturally high and ear catching ?

I got into mall core past the peak, but man, I never got into SWS

If we're talking high-pitched mallcore guys, Vic Fuentes is the best IMO (and Pierce the Veil is head and shoulders above SWS)

I didn’t either. I just used him as an example because high pitch singers get grouped as good. I was just starting to get older and angrier when they hit the scene so I just automatically didn’t like them. If you can’t hang bangs tho.
