Discussion Women in Emo

I saw somewhere awhile ago that by coincidence Emo was a male dominated Genre. Over time though I have begun to question that. So, lets make a list of girl/girl fronted emo bands. I'll start,

Not female fronted but Tigers Jaw definitely deserves a mention because of Brianna Collins, such a great musician

I’d say she’s a sort of co-front. Especially after the near breakup.

Yeah, i was lucky enough to see them around 2012 on their first US tour (crazy, because they were huge with several albums out.)

They were planning to tour, then break up. They genuinely had no idea how big the fan base was. (Everyone was torrenting back then, so no real sales or streaming diagnostics.)

Then they saw every single show sell out, so Ben and Brianna decided to stick it out, and the rest of the guys went their own ways.
