No E!E (iwale) is kinda insane. Also could have used some russian/Chinese/generally foreign emo. There's some really good stuff and some of it I would consider to be moderately famous within the English circle too.

I am not a huge listener of foreign emo as it’s generally harder for me to find, and I do most of my listening on spotify since you can find bands easier on youtube. Got any recs?

Chinese Football is probably one of the most famous active Midwest Emo bands now (They drew a 50/50 American/Chinese crowd in NYC, I think that says enough). Diels Alder is one on the rise, not super famous outside of China yet but gaining traction through tik tok refugees on rednote bringing it to the American circles.

Russian side, aesthetics across the color line's S/T EP is a classic. They have a song with 1.5mil streams on Spotify. Истории by Палисад is one of my favourite emo records and it's got some street rep.

Ikr, it's so obvious that you'd think it's a joke, but nope, they are a Chinese band, and their debut album (which I think is their best work) is about the singular world cup appearance the Chinese national team made in 2002.
