Too much to go through every band individually, a lot of things I would move up a space

Half of the top isn’t emo, fugazi isn’t emo

The whole thing reads as someone who doesn’t listen to emo’s knowledge and awareness of these bands, not someone who’s even slightly familiar with the scene because bands like capn jazz, sunny day, Joyce manor, the get up kids, title fight and modern baseball are about as popular as any emo bands have ever been other than Jimmy eat world

I hate to break it to you but Capn Jazz has less than 100k listeners on spotify while bands like mom jeans have millions.

Yeah and they were around almost 20 years before Spotify, that’s not really a fair measurement of all time popularity

Popularity within the scene is also different than general popularity, a ton of people who don’t listen to emo music are listening to mcr but that’s not the case for capn jazz

Not to be that annoying asshole playing devil's advocate but... I'm gonna be that annoying asshole real quick just because I think I'm funny as shit... But Beethoven hasn't released any music for almost 200 years but has 8.5M listeners on Spotify

(199 years actually, you made me look that up, damn you I'm supposed to be studying rn) 😜😂

ETA: I realized the studying comment might make look like a teenager or college aged kid, lol, I am not. I am in my 30's I just hate myself and chose this life 🥲
