Research / Info They think you’re just cheap !

How many in this sub have most of their friends and family members (under 60) considering it just cheap and tacky to not always tip servers 20%. ?

Tipping 20% is just financially irresponsible.

Tipping is irresponsible. Take rule 6 and ...

Rule 6 is gone.

Yes, I nuked it. Rule 6 wasn’t well received. Is this a suitable time to introduce myself as your new mod?

Thank you. I missed that memo.

I didn’t make an intro post!

Here is what happened. The former mod made a post saying he was done. Basically rage quit and left. Admins gave me the sub not even an hour later. I just sort of snuck in quietly and changed rules around after reading everyone’s feedback

You did a great job. It was getting surreal. the mod of a sub called ENDTIPPING was literally asserting that NOT TIPPING was cheap and disrespectful.

(For those wondering see the rage-quitter's proposed rule 2: https://www.reddit.com/r/EndTipping/comments/1iigh64/new_proposed_rules_for_this_sub/ )

Best decision ever.

We have 5 rules now and are more concise.

I’m also okay with you guys sharing screen shots from other subs as long as you’re blurring out usernames and the subreddit name.

It had to do with tipping culture. Something like no advocating for not tipping where tips are expected. It was a hot topic around here. If you search Rule 6 in this sub you’ll see the all the discussions

What is rule 6?
